Good morning.
I had started re-watching Season 1 of The Sopranos and got about halfway through. I had noted that Season 1 & 2 were available until August 31, 2013 so I figured I had lots of time to view them during the summer. Last night, I went into HBO Canada On Demand and Season 1 and 2 are both gone. What gives?

I noticed that as well and I am not impressed with ROGERS AT ALL. Some notification should have been given. Also does it make any sense to remove the first two seasons of a show that is no longer on air? I think that in light of the tragedy Rogers really made a bad call and this is a disservice to it's customers.

Unfortunately, the owner of this content has the right to revoke it and did exactly that, so this content is not currently available. We'd have let you know in advance, but we didn't get any advance notice ourselves, from what I'm told. Sorry folks.

Well that sucks but thanks for letting me know Chris.

Thankfully there are torrents to fall back on when the owner of the content pulls a dirty trick like that.

I was part-way through Season 2 of course.
I doubt it was really the content owner (presumably HBO Canada) who is responsible for this. Why would they do such a thing. My experience with them is that they are VERY customer-friendly. This was more likely a Rogers error posting the wrong date.
In any case, I can't see why Rogers with all its powers can't work out a deal with the content owner because of the circumstances.

You're welcome to your opinion, but in this case the content wasn't supposed to expire and then just recently, we were told to remove it, along with many other programs.

Thanks Chris. Who is the content owner, HBO Canada?
