Galaxy Note 2 GPS lock issue

Hello forum, 

Is anybody here having a gps lock issue on the Note 2 ?

I know on XDA a few users are having lock issues and am curious to know if there 

is any solution from rogers on this issue. 

Hopefully it is not a hardware problem.

One issue on Jelly Bean that I've seen reported and I get on my Galaxy Nexus on 4.1.2 is that the location gives a general location (maybe within 100m-300m) with GPS on and wifi off but is accurate with both GPS and wifi on.

Hello, I am experiencing some location issues on my phone as well

1) Do you live in Mississauga?

2) Are you using LTE on your Note 2?

3) Have you tried disabling LTE by going into the phone application and typing *#*#4636#*#* ?

Here's what I experienced. If I am indoors and I try to open my Maps application while on LTE, it is unable to find my location. If I step outside (or go near a window) I get a GPS lock in and it works fine after. The problem seems to be related with the cell tower not giving its location. If I go into the *#*#4636#*#* setting and enable WCDMA preferred I get dropped down to HSPA, but location services work fine then.

I think it may actually be the pre installed navigation app that is the issue. 

I have been using Waze all weekend without a single issue. 

Now just need the multi view update from rogers and ability to move apps to SD card and I will be all set.
