Cell service down

I've Been Around

I'm in Winnipeg Manitoba and My cell service is down and Live chat is estimating 1 hours wait times. Anyone else experiencing this?

I just got my dad his first smart phone....and now it says...unregistered Sim!!

It was working fine...now all of a sudden it does not work...not sure if this is related to outage.

Welcome to the Community Forums! 

 

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your Wireless service. Have you checked with anyone else in the area using Rogers wireless service? Try rebooting your phone or turn on airplane mode and back off to see if it catches signal. What phone are you using? You can also try taking the sim out and putting it back in.

It's the same here in Toronto for the call center and live chat.

Have you tried rebooting your device and or taking the sim card out and putting it back in?

I swapped my SIM card last night and it works afterward, but 1-2 hours ago it said unregistered SIM.  I restarted my cell a several times but it still show the same.  Anyone else has this issue?

after 2 hrs waiting on live chat, finally got this response to my similar problem:
We currently have a known issue regarding network connectivity and No Service showing on devices as well as delays in registering hardware such as SIM cards. It is something that has been escalated to our networking teams and they are currently working on a resolution. Regrettably I do not have a time frame for when this issue will be resolved, my apologies.

I'm so glad I'm on Bell for internet and can check this message board for an update. Moderator, can you please post an update as soon as service is back up? I can't imaging any of us can function without our mobile phones.

I'm in Toronto and my network has been down since yesterday .. can't get through to Rogers.  Apparently not all Rogers customers are effected, my mom is on Rogers too and she hasn't had any issues.  What's going on?

For the second time today my cell won't make or receive calls.  Been waiting over an hour on Live Chat.

Is something happening to the network?

I'm in Winnipeg too.  My phone has had no service for nearly two days now!  Restarting it does not work.  Refreshing network settings does not work.  I need this phone for work.  If it's not working by noon tomorrow I'm cancelling.

I'm having the same problem.  I've consistently had no service for almost two days now.  Just activated a new phone.  Tech support has not been any help.

Same here in Vancouver, some Rogers phone works some doesn't.

I guess somthing wrong again since the tech support seems very busy eith phone or chat.

I guess it's too onerous to contact their customers and let them know that they're aware there's a problem and that they're working on it.

I am in Edmonton and my phone is showing No Service. I have tried re-setting the network and switching my cell on & off. Is anyone else experiencing the same in Edmonton Area?

That's frustrating to deal with.

 

Have you tried power cycling  your device? Let us know if that works.

 

If not, what type of device are you using? And, where are you located?

My phone worked for a day after they reset my network connection, but last night it started to fail again.  I was on hold for one and a half hour  on tech support, and my answer was "the network team is putting on a fix this morning at 7am EST. "  As of now my phone still show "Unregistered SIM".

They reset my network connection again. Now it works, but this is only for temporary according from tech support. I guess all we can do is to wait...
