Cable signal problem

I have a vip service with hdtv service add on. I have two hd cable boxes that works fine but with my tv that is connected directly without any cable box I don't get anything, only snow.

Re: Cable signal problem

How is the cable split to the tv without a cable box? Is the cable connected tightly? Did you use a commercially bought cable with ends or did you add the ends yourself? What type of cable is it?

Re: Cable signal problem

Not sure why you would want to connect it via Analog (directly to tv buypassing STB) That will defeat the purpose of HDTV.

You probaly live in an area where the Analog is discontinued. The point of the box is to send the signals digitally now instead of the old fashioned way, because its more efficient.

The extra capacity they gained by removing analog signals will eventually bring more HD channels, faster internet speeds, and etc.

Now when you want to watch tv you will need a seperate STB for each tv, much like satelite dish.
