Automated data texts - nearing your data limit

I Plan to Stick Around

I have a "double your data" deal on my Xperia X10 that upgrades me from 500MB to 1GB of data per month. This shows accurately on my "My Account" Rogers app, but whenever I'm nearing the 500MB mark, I get an automated text saying that I'm reaching my data limit. How can I turn this off?

Hi Emily,

The automated text stating your data usage percent is unforunately not able to be turned off. This is a network service that is setup for all customers. As far as it being sent when your only at 500MB, it depends on how the data is appearing on the account.

If your showing a 1GB data plan on the account then it would send it properly when your closing in on 1 GB. But if your showing 500MB + Double Data Addon then the system unforunately doesnt read the Double Data Addon as additional data; hence why you being notified at 500MB.

Personally I'd just use it as a counter. If I recieve it past the half-way point of my billing month then I'm ok, but if its before half then i need to slow down. Smiley Wink

Cheers!
