Audio/Sound Issues - On Demand TV Shows

I've Been Here Awhile

When we try to play some TV shows from there On Demand list, we hear background sound (music, car noise, etc), but no dialogue. Lips move, but no vocals.

Welcome to the Community and thank you for your post.

 

Needless to say the issue you have described would've ruined the On Demand experience for sure. Was this specific to a certain channel's content or did you notice this on various shows on different channels? Do you happen to have more than one box? If yes, then are you experiencing the same issue on the other boxes too? I wasn't able to replicate the issue on our end, have you tried rebooting the box to see if that resolves the audio/sounds problems?

Same thing is happening to my mom. All shows on demand for CityTV dont have talking...just laugh tracks. CTV on frmand works fine though.

Specific shows where you cant hear talking....only background and music...CITYTV ON DEMAND ...The Cool Kids, Single Parents and A Million Little Things.
Also why is Survivor season premiere not posted On Demand yet from last Wednesday?

Thank you all for bringing this to our attention.  We are aware, some new content On Demand from CityTV missing part of their audio tracks and are working to resolve this.

I just wanted to provide a quick update to you all. The issue with multiple Citytv NOW and FX NOW On Demand content, having audio problems, has been resolved. 

 

We just want to thank you all for bringing it to our attention and your patience, as our team worked to fix it Robot Happy.

 

I stand corrected. I apologize to the Community for the mix up. I'll report back once I have more information.

We have this issue as well.plus show that appeared in the list yesterday (Manifest) no longer appears under CityTv.

Please fix this, folks

The issue is not fixed. All Rogers did was remove the shows from On Demand! So now I don't have access to episode 1 of any of the shows that were having issues!

Same thing at my house this weekend. Not all shows, only some. So frustrating that we will miss the first episodes of new shows! We re-booted the box. Seemed dopey because it's only some shows. Hope someone fixes it soon.

I’m sorry but this issue isn’t fixed. Now none of the catalogues on the channels that had issues are coming up. I think Rogers should offer credits for the days this has been down for service interruption on our next bills please. This would be the right thing to do for your customers. I’ve already booked an appointment for a tech to come out to fix the issue but to post this has been fixed is not correct. I encourage you to look into some sort of service recovery for the time this service was interrupted.

I did not post that it was fixed. Confirmed we had same issue, and hoped someone would fix it. Still hoping.

Tech came and did something to the box and it now works. Apparently the box needed to be recalibrated. All channels and shows are back. If yours is still not working I would contact Rogers and ask for a tech to come out and fix it.
