I am posting this now as tomorrow i will be unable to come online due to some family appointments i have Smiley Sad

 

Once again its the time of the year that Apple will be announcing their new iPhone line up. I am happy to announce that iPhone 8 / 8 Plus and iPhone X will be announced tomorrow! As for the specs, They are rumored to be the iPhone X will have a OLED wrap around display near bazel-less and have 3GB of RAM and wireless charging as per the rumors. The iPhone 8 / 8+ will have similar body and display as the iPhone 7 and newer technology such as new camera / Face unlocking and more! Will update this tomorrow when i can! The names to be rumored as per what the IOS11 beta has shown and also some of the features! Again i will try and update the thread tomorrow when i can! 

 


1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Apple iPhone 8 / 8+ and iPhone X to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want, iPhone 8 Black and what other colors they may release it on. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do remember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confuses about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

 

5). They also started last year a pre ordering system done online being charged on your CC ( Credit card) imminently and having the device shipped to your home instead. Last year with the iPhone 7 / 7 Plus the ones that picked this way got it the day of launch or day after launch but only a few did. Not everyone.  This way is a good way but sadly u do not see any status updates like u do with the reservation system and only get a confirmation email and a shipment email. ( some did not get any email until the unit got shipped with QMS or UPS). Please do remember. Using the SHIP TO HOME option does NOT give u any insight of updates or status. You will only get notified when it ships out.

I am located in Toronto.

My sister called this morning and when speaking to the rep, she was told its weird how since December 20th it was back in stock and it wasn't shipped out.

The rep got helpful and spoke to the Buyers Remorse team which think the order was stalled since a few others had the same issue but some got their phones already.

The rep at the buyers remorse team spoke to their manager which works with the warehouse and will be rushing out the phone as soon as possible and do it manually. Which means they will fulfil the order manually and ship it out instead since the order on the system has either stalled or something.

So maybe u can do the same and call in and speak to the buyers remorse team and have this escalated for u for them to do the same.

Both reps were very helpful and surprised that her phone hasn't shipped out yet.

My sister didn't ask about the X since that's not the phone she has been waiting for.. She only got the information regarding the 8 Plus.

Called today, no updated.
The rep keep telling me 3-5 business days since the phone back in stock on 20th. So if I don’t received any email regarding the phone on 29th.. then I have to call and tell again.. sigh

Was the rep from the National buyers remorse team of Rogers? If so then that's weird as they should be escalating this for you to their manager for a push.

If it was a rep from another department then that's why. They don't see much other the the status.

Then yes they weren't that team.

Call back and ask to speak to the buyers remorse team and explain why. If they keep hesitating then keep pushing. They shouldn't be not letting u talk to them as they can see more then most reps over Facebook and normal reps. They also have the power to have their managers push a escalation towards the the warehouse to get this rolling for u.

seems like I am the most unlucky guy lol.

I called the customer service again and nothing new, except one thing had change. As I told you before they said the phone was back in stock as of Dec 20th, and we should expect 3-5 business days. But today they changed the answer, the guy told me count from Dec 26th, 3-5 business days should be January 2.

I didn't really listen due to too many fake information from them.

Then I asked to transferred my call to the buyers remorse team (the customer service agent told me waiting time is 3-5 mins, indeed I wait 20 mins!!!!!!!!!), I explained to the guy from buyers remorse team, he told me that the iphone 8 plus is out of stock AGAIN! Yes, Again! OUT OF STOCK again! ( Normal rep said in stock) And the guy started talking so loud and YELLED at me, and being so rude to me and told me there is 3 ways I can do for now.

1, CANCEL the order, and picked up in the store.

2, STOPPED calling us and just wait because rogers would give you any information

3, KEEP calling rogers and check updated on the phone.

 

I swear to god I were being polite and nice before this guy yelled at me! 

Then, I said I don't want to talk to him anymore, I need to speak to the manager and he said nope, you speak to the manager and the manger just go back to me. Then I started yelled him back and basically I had a really bad, helpless, disappointed communication.

The guy from the buyer remorse team doesn't really helpful.

It is exactly a month since Nov 27. What a joke for waiting a phone? An Iphone 8 PLUS, not even X.

GOOD JOB ROGERS, GOOD JOB customer service!

Yup my sister had the same issue this morning. The escalating was there however no comment from the warehouse or anyone..

Pretty ridiculous if u ask me. My sister got offered a free iPhone 8 Plus 64GB at Telus with 2 months this free because of this.

Rogers doesn't seem to care. There is no excuse any one can make for them. The phones are there. The other rep said " there are issues with some accounts causing this". Then why not take proactive steps and fix it.

EDIT. Another rep told her from the same department that the phone is out of stock and will take another week or up to 7 business days to get it. This is ridiculous.

EDIT 2. They reached out and said that they tried to cancel the order and did not work. So it seems some accounts are having a IT issue which isn't letting the order being cancelled or move to the actual warehouse status. They sent it off to escalatings team for the IT and takes 48hrs. So to be honest another week for her without a phone.

She had to use my line to communicate as her phone is broken and has no other phone to use.

So my sister around 5PM received a email showing a change on the account with the device being added which includes the IMEI number and the date it was added which is today. Checked the IMEI number and shows the device was just built 3 days ago and arrived in Toronto this morning. So I guess Rogers got shipments or her having them escalate it to the IT and warehouse worked.

Hopefully u got a similar email!

EDIT. My sister receieved the email with tracking after she did a live chat about it. Should be delivered today! One month if waiting paid off

No, not at all.  And I called customer service they said the order stats is conformed..

Indeed, suddenly received a phone call from UPS saying that the shipping information is missing a building number so the guy couldn't delivered the phone to me.. and now I have to wait to next Tuesday to picked up my phone in the ups store.

Hi - I placed my order online November 20 (iPhone X 256GB Silver) and watched my status go from #708 on November 20, to #22 on December 11 and finally to an IN PROGRESS status on December 19.  Since then, nothing.  I called Rogers and got re-routed to 5 different people, before an annoyed-sounding Rogers rep told me they have zero iPhone X 256GB in stock and so I should suck it up and wait, or cancel my order.  Is it reasonable that I've been stuck in IN PROGRESS with no updates from Rogers for more than 2 weeks?  Any chance my order has been lost?

Maybe it's a issue with the warehouse that is causing this to happen. Seen this before that the warehouse switched it to IN PROGRESS however it was either a early status update or the system showed one and the lost it within the warehouse.

Unfortunately nothing can be done as managers can not locate a phone since a IMEI number isn't attached to the Reservation and the warehouse most likely has shipped it out or lost it within the warehouse.

I would either wait a bit longer or find a store which has it ( Apple store or Rogers store) and get it from them. You can also just reorder it from Rogers via phone or live chat and wait the extra couple of weeks to get it.

Thanks for the reply.  Incredibly, after whining on this board, I got a call from the local Rogers store telling me my phone had just arrived.  Picked it up 10 minutes ago.

AppleCare+ Problem

 

I'm really struggling with Rogers lately and I'm looking for some advice.  I'm a corporate customer and ordered the iPhone X on pre-order using the RogersDirect site.  Realizing that I'd want AC+ I called in to confirm the process where I was told that I needed to call back when I received the phone to add the coverage.  I did this and it was added to my account and charged for the month.  After 3 weeks I emailed them as I hadn't received the proof of enrollment whereby they cancelled the coverage as it apparently had to be made on the device order date.  In my case, I pre-ordered on Oct 27th, unknown to me the order date was Dec 19th and I received it on Dec 21st. 

 

To my question, has anyone, especially corporate customers, had success ordering AC+ or is this a lost cause?  I know that I can still buy directly from Apple but I feel that Rogers should honour the order.

Unfortunately nothing can be done. Rogers seems to only want you to get AppleCare when you do the upgrade or new Activation right there and then. Telus and Bell and even Apple give you 30-60 days after purchase to get AppleCare. Apple can't do anything as this is a Rogers problem and Rogers won't do anything as they won't. My sister had the same issue and the requested to speak to the Office of the President. It's been 2 weeks and still waiting for a phone call.

Just buy AppleCare outright from Apple if you still can. It's the best way to go atm.
