Hello Everyone!

 

 

 

Once again i am making the iPhone Questions / Reservation thread!!!!! Apple just announced the new iPhone which is called iPhone 6S & iPhone 6S Plus . The new iPhone's includes a 3DTouch, 13MP back new isight camera, rose gold color &  much much more. . This thread is the offical thread for the iPhone 6S / 6S Plus for customers which have any questions or need answers!  Rogers will put up the pre order list for customers that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

 

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.

- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.

- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your  reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.

- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.

 

 

2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.

 

 

3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mind you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level 1 on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) . For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues  / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

 

 

Pre orders will come out Saturday Sept 12th & Launch date is Friday Sept 25th. I am sure Rogers will follow those orders. As for the device orders & which models Rogers will get. I am sure Rogers will get both models like they did last year.

 

Also the prices for both phones are different. So if you are going to get the iPhone 6S Plus, it will be much higher price then the iPhone 6S. Rogers will announce the phone prices within either today or  sometime before Friday!!! The prices are the same as last year from what Apple said!. 

 

 

Also remember please post anything related about iPhone 6S & 6S Plus in here please. I know this is a long thread to read, but read it before asking multiple questions in which have been already answered in this post ( if they have been answered on this post / thread). I will do my best like I have for the past 5 years of doing this to answer any questions you have about the reservations or device.

 

IOS 9 will be available Sept 16th on your current Apple device!

I can't believe how messed up this reservation thing has been for others! I guess I got extremely lucky! I just hope they don't screw up shipping out the devices too!

@RogersMaude I tried to pre-order this morning online and went through the steps but was never asked for any payment information so I thought this seemed strange so later this morning after my yoga class I called Rogers where I was told there was a secondary Rogers secure reservation system and my login didn't work. So the telephone representative went ahead and did the upgrade reservation for me over the phone.
Now correct me if I'm wrong but I assume I can't do both a preorder and a reservation upgrade on the same line?!?! Also I would hope that if the preorder had gone through earlier that the telephone rep who was great by the way should have the ability to see it...that would help them help us...

Lizzybear the reps can't see the preorder. I tried to cancel mine earlier and wasn't successfully. Tech support are the only ones that see the preorder and it looks like they are the only ones that can cancel it. Cancelling the reservation is simple and you can do it online once it shows on your myrogers account

I really think that at this point Rogers owes its customers a token of good will and appreciation considering this is a recurring theme with Rogers iPhone launches.

I FINALLY got my preorder in after over 6 hours of attempts, contacts with @Rogershelps, and it's not even what I wanted in the first place.

I wanted to login, put a reservation in early, and hopefully pick up my new phone on launch day. I also wanted to pay for it on the 25th, which means it would not have been invoiced to me until my October 21st invoice, and I would have had until November to pay for it.

Instead what I got was a broken reservation system missing the model I wanted, being told to order from a pre-order system that didn't work for the first 6 hours for me, having to have my package delivered to my address which means if I'm not home I get to wait another day, and to top it all off I get to pay NOW for my phone which means my payment is due an entire month sooner than it would have been had I reserved as intended in the first place.

Considering the amount of difficulty in ordering I can't even say I'm happy my order finally went in, just relived that it's over.

Some people just aren't having any luck reserving a phone through Rogers....I guess I've always been one of the lucky ones. I've always gotten my iPhone's from reservations through Rogers, I've never waited in any line ups to get one, and Ive never experienced any issues with reserving one.

I had both the phones I wanted reserved for the wife and I as soon as reservations opened this morning in about 30 seconds.

I guess I got lucky though, because the ones I wanted were on the reservation list 6s+ gold 64 gig.

I hope everyone gets the phone they wanted, in a timely manner.

I guess this is the price we pay to want the hottest, and most sought after phone on the market.

@nasa25x Rogers just called me to recheck my address as I moved units in same complex and I guess it never got updated before and I asked about the potential for having a duplicate order and was told they'd catch it and that it won't get put through so I'm hoping that means I'm only getting the one 64gb Rose Gold 6s 😜

So frustrating! Been up half the night and somehow ended up reserving something that doesn't even show up anywhere. Got no callback either, but anyways decided to go with Apple direct.

If they force me into one of their share everything plans, I'll pay the difference of the locked vs unlocked phone over the two years with the higher monthly plan. This way I can at least recover some of the cost when I sell it again. And I can actually pick it up on release day. Who knows when I'd actually get it through rogers with the snafu this morning. Maybe time to look into other carriers

Love it!!! Just moved from 5th to 4th in line, and my wife's also went from 8th to 6th in line. I really hope we get it on launch day.

Alright I'm back. It appears all of the models are now up on the reservation site that I was told was the old page... but ok... whatever. I'm happy enough with my gold model I'll get and I'm now position 2 for Gold 64GB iPhone 6S Plus so even better!

Just looked at the email confirmation that was sent and they reserved me the wrong phone so I had to call to cancel it and now they're saying it will take 24 hours to complete the cancellation and reserve the correct phone!!! Totally unacceptable!

Yes the 6s Rose Gold 64gb is the one I want and they mistakenly reserved me the Plus which I don't want.
I think the reservation is best as that is what I did to get my 5s but really I just want to do my upgrade and and know the phone is coming. I'd appreciate any help.

New here and I don't plan to read through 80 pages of post to see if it's been addressed..

 

On the reservation system, it only show 6S+ models, and I want a 6S 64 GB version.  How do reserve this specific model?

 

If I log into MyRogers and choose Device Upgrade, I see a 6S 64GB available for Pre-Order, but that option seems to force me to pay now and change my plan now, which I don't want to do until I actually get the phone.

@RogersMaude It has been asked many times why the 6S 64Gb or 128Gb any color phones are NOT available on the Reservation System without any real explantion why. I had to Pre Order for two 6S 64Gb phones and pay Rogers up front on my account to hopefully reserve them when September 25 rolls around and Apple launches them. The reservation system if it worked would have allowed me to pay for it when I get it in my hand on that day or close to it, not today.

 

I believe that Rogers prefers the Pre Order process and therefore removed the more popular 6S version of the iphone to eliviate the big rush that occurs in the Rogers retail stores, especially when they are trying to activate the new reserved phones which took forever since the computer system grinded to a halt. Also by Pre Ordering you are required to address your wireless plan at the time of the Pre Order to ensure Rogers puts you in an approved Share Everything Plan. I got nailed on that in the store when I reserved last Fall for one Iphone 6 and had it subsidised and then all my Family plan phone plans had to be upgraded as well for an additional $10 per phone. If I wanted the phone I had no choice to increase my Family Share everything plan a that time. Was not happy.

 

So I think this is all by design to pad the pockets of Rogers as well as eleviate the retail store rush when given the only option to Pre Order. Which can be delivered to your home whenever Rogers feels like releasing inventory and getting you into a more expensive plan. I bet I won't see these phones until October 25.

Very strange how I reserved mine just before 9am yet people are 30 ahead of me in the line and ordered 7 hours after me....

Have any business account users been able to successfully do a hardware upgrade on the rogers direct website?  The harware only (full price) option seems to go through successfully, but the HUP option gives me the message "We are not able to process your reservation online. To reserve your iPhone please contact your Rogers Business Specialist..."

@nickjj I was thinking the same thing but didn't want to say it. Especially given how unapologetic @RogersMaude and @Rogershelps have been. Rogers helps basically shut down any questions of shine sorry of compensation for the difficulties. Seems like the only thing that matters is getting your $$$. This will be my last phone with Rogers if this behavior continues. In fact I still have time to cancel. They've shown total contempt for their loyal customers...... Again.
