Hello Everyone!

 

 

 

Once again i am making the iPhone Questions / Reservation thread!!!!! Apple just announced the new iPhone which is called iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus . The new iPhone's includes a bigger screen, different backing design, better camera & VoLTE & much much more. . This thread will be where you need to post questions & even your reservation numbers once Rogers announces it & puts it up. Please do NOT make another thread about reservation & or about the new iPhone . I would like to keep it as one thread & clean..I am sure getting the iPhone Plus !!!

 

 

 

1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the iPhone 6 to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want " iPhone 6 / 6 Plus  16GB, 64G,128GB  " & the color of the device you want. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

 

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.

- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.

- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.

- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.

 

 

2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.

 

 

3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level  on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues  / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

 

 

 

Pre orders will come out Friday Sept 12th & Launch date is Next Friday Sept 19th. I am sure Rogers will follow those orders. As for the device orders & which models Rogers will get. I am sure Rogers will get botboth models like they did last year.

 

Also the prices for both phones are different. So if you are going to get the iPhone 6 Plus, it will be much higher price then the iPhone 6. Rogers will announce the phone prices within either today or  sometime before Friday!!!

 

 

Also remember please post anything related about iPhone 6 & 6 Plus in here please. I know this is a long thread to read, but read it before asking multiple questions in which have been already answered in this post ( if they have been answered on this post / thread). I will do my best like I have for the past 4 years of doing this to answer any questions you have about the reservations or device.

Business or consumer?  A few 128 GB SG 6pluses went out recently.  Mine is now out for delivery and I should have it by tomorrow.

Got my tracking number (6+ 64GB Silver) and it's out for delivery as of this morning!

 

Assuming it arrives at my store this afternoon, should I expect to be able to go to my store tonight to pick it up, or is there some more administrative hurdles to pass through?

 

Either way, it's coming!

They will need to call u and let u know ur device is there but u can always call and ask to be safe. You can also pop by and see but some reps will be like " you should wait until we call u next time "

You should get it tonight tho!!:)

it also depends on if the systems are back up (and for how long) that they recieve the phones in to store stock they were still down at the end of yesterday.

So are they going to hassel me into trying to sign up for a new package when I walk in with a new unlocked 6+ to activate? 

 

How do I go about keeping the same package I have no but with a new 6+ from the apple store?

just got my tracking number last night...and UPS only showed that they had my printing labels ready only...I'm from Edmonton area...how long do you think UPS can deliver it to the west coast store? Thanks!!!

I think they should take $20/month off any package they have if you own your phone since thats what goes to paying off the phones you get from them

Along with the tracking number, I also got another email saying Rogers will credit me $40 on my next statement.

 

I thought they would wait until I picked up the phone?

I believe I know why corporate customers are being shafted.

 

Long story...

 

I am on a Family/Friend Business Corporate plan, so I had called Rogers on the day of the Iphone 6 reservation after hearing about the "must switch" to share everything plan deal in order to upgrade device.  I called in on the day which Iphone 6 reservation was available, and was able to get a hold of a rep.  I explained that I was on corporate plan and had made reservation on the rogers website and was just wondering if the force plan change was true.  She said yes, but because I was on corporate plan this will not affect me. 

 

I kept my reservation alone and didnt call in until week after, which i was speaking with another rep.  He said that I should have made the reservation via corporate webpage and that the original reservation i had made would not go through - i.e. it would have automatically cancel it self when they try to fill the order.  I angry and said that i didnt know there was a separate website to make reservations... wasted a week.

 

Surely enough he made the reservation for me via his side on the corporate website.  I had also asked if i need to physically cancel the general reservation so i wont get double charged.  To which he said no it would have automatically cancel it self, so i left it alone.  I started off in the 800s on general and was near the 400s in corporate line.  I had thought I would received via corporate way faster.  Boy was I wrong.

 

Many moons later, i received an email saying my phone has been shipped to the destined store which i had picked.  I was bit suprised and called Rogers, explaining my situation and whether i would still be able to pick up that phone even if I am a corporate user.  The rep said I shouldn't have a problem, but to remeber to cancel my corporate reservation only when I have received the phone in my hand.

 

On Monday I recevied the phone call from the store rep, he said my phone is ready to pick up.  I told him I wont have time until Wednesday morning and he said fine.  Today, I just received a call from the same rep and he was being quite rude saying I am not allow to switch unless I switch plans as well... and explained that I was on a corporate plan, to which he asked me which plan.  I was dumbfounded for a minute and asked if there would be any difference?  He told me their store deals 99% corporate customers and that I would have to switch.  I told him that I spoken to many Rogers reps and they all said I can pick up that phone without problems.  So i told him i will talk to the Rogers rep once more and asked them to confirm with him, to which he hung up on me rudely.

 

I phone and got a hold of a lathargic sounding business rep, she checked and checked.  Finally said that I should not have a problem picking that up.  That they had to deal with similar situation of the store refusing to give phone to corporate customers because if they dont swith plants the store dont "BENEFIT" from it.  Suddendly all makes sense why corporate customers were being shafted.

 

The rep asked me to tell that store rep to contact their DSG line and that they have to give me the phone - i asked the rep what if the store still refuses, to which she said i can be there and phone *611 and have the reps talk it out.  I had even asked this rep to record the note down so who ever is going to be my rep tomorrow will know what the deal is.  

 

I had phone back to that rude rep, and mentioned what my rogers rep said for him to talk to his management and contact DSG.  He said he did and the reply was no, but he will contact them again and that tomorrow when i am there they will see...

 

FFS i really hope i get the phone tomorrow.  I need to bring a charger with me and hopefully they can let me charge my phone.  my Iphone 5 is dead, and battery wont hold for more than 10 mins on use.

 

I was so sick of dealing with Rogers in the past that I had switched out our internet and TV services to never have to deal with their expensive and egotistic attitude.  All except wireless because of a good corporate family friend deal i was able to get.

So, I recently changed to a corporate plan from a consumer plan and wanted to reserve the Iphone 6.  I was told to reserve under the rogers business site but I was unable to add my account number under the business side as it did not recognize the account number as a corporate plan but rather said it was residential account.  

 

I went forward and reserved under my regular myaccount which is considered a residential account but will this at all affect my reservation or picking up the phone as it appears there have been issues regarding reserving under the consumer reservation system as opposed to the business reservation system?

Are you kidding me? You don't know why the corporate/business customers are being "pushed" back? These customers are at the bottom of the priority list because Rogers knows that they are essentially trapped in that program no matter what kind of garbage they are dealt. This is typical corporate behaviour and concept of ethical and fair treatment of customers is something that is alien to a company like Rogers. THE ONLY THING THAT WOULD GET THEIR ATTENTION WOULD BE THE LOSS OF CUSTOMERS and I for one will not forget this treatment when, and if, I get the opportunity to leave.
