Once again i am making the iPhone Questions / Reservation thread!!!!! Apple just announced the new iPhone which is called iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus . The new iPhone's includes a bigger screen, different backing design, better camera & VoLTE & much much more. . This thread will be where you need to post questions & even your reservation numbers once Rogers announces it & puts it up. Please do NOT make another thread about reservation & or about the new iPhone . I would like to keep it as one thread & clean..I am sure getting the iPhone Plus !!!
1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the iPhone 6 to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want " iPhone 6 / 6 Plus 16GB, 64G,128GB " & the color of the device you want. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .
- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.
2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.
3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.
Pre orders will come out Friday Sept 12th & Launch date is Next Friday Sept 19th. I am sure Rogers will follow those orders. As for the device orders & which models Rogers will get. I am sure Rogers will get botboth models like they did last year.
Also the prices for both phones are different. So if you are going to get the iPhone 6 Plus, it will be much higher price then the iPhone 6. Rogers will announce the phone prices within either today or sometime before Friday!!!
Also remember please post anything related about iPhone 6 & 6 Plus in here please. I know this is a long thread to read, but read it before asking multiple questions in which have been already answered in this post ( if they have been answered on this post / thread). I will do my best like I have for the past 4 years of doing this to answer any questions you have about the reservations or device.
Here are both links from Apple for the iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus. I know for sure i will be getting the iPhone 6 Plus!.
Will Rogers customers who reserved through a 3rd party like FutureShop get their phones later than those who reserved directly through Rogers?
I'm still waiting for my 6+ SG 128gb which I ordered on 9/23(based on the other posts I expect to wait another week or so)
I reserved the morning reservations opened, though by all accounts that was still pretty late. I reserved two iPhone 6 Plus 128gb devices, one gold for the wife, one space gray for me. I started at something like 870 position for mine and 200-something for the wife. The numbers were going down pretty good for the first week or so but now I'm stuck at 337, and my wife at 38; my position goes down maybe 1-2 positions a day at this point, and my wife's maybe 1 position every 2-3 days. If this rate keeps up it'll be 3 months before either of us see our devices.
I seriously hope Rogers is getting more in soon. This is the longest I've ever had to wait for an iPhone from Rogers. Even my first iPhone from Rogers, the 3G, when Rogers first got the iPhone, didn't take this long.
So your local Rogers Store has a iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Silver?
And I'm #2 Open status for the same phone for the past 3 weeks!!!
I know how you feel SpeedyC. They get shipments, it seems (Meomix can correct me if I'm wrong), which are for walk-in customers and exclusively for those who have reserved. It's a luck of the draw. If this is correct, it's a terribly erratic and unfair system. Basically you have to keep phoning local providers if they have stock and if they do, get it there and cancel your reservation. What a waste of time. Somebody has to go back to the drawing board!!!
It doesn't work like that as the stores doesn't have access to the next person in line. Once someone says they don't want it, the store has the right to sell it as a walk in
Ok, so they should go back to the drawing board and figure out how to do this properly.
As someone else mentioned, the only thing about the Reservation System that worked smoothly is that the $40 reservation fee was taken right away !!!
Oh well, have a good weekend, and maybe next week will be the week ...
As stated previously by MANY people, frustrations with the organization Rogers are beginning to run HIGH for people that have barely moved in queues and I hope there are (no disrespect nor am I not appreciating what MeowMix is doing) paid Rogers employees aware on this forum taking notes as to all of the customers that are unhappy with their awful service, responses, attitudes, and progess they have had during this iPhone roll-out. I understand supply and distribution of said iPhones, but what is happening here to Rogers corporate community is unfortunely pathetic. Now, I also understand that there are users on the forum that might exadurate their spot in queue but I am in queue and have been since September 12th for a 64GB iPhone 6 Plus Space Grey and started at 380...unfortunately, I have moved less than 100 spots to 290 as of today. Not only is it abysmal to attempt to tell an almost 10 year customer that you have received less than 100 of that phone for your corporate customers but that I don't get any response from them. At this point, it is not acceptable to say it's a stock issue as no one will believe you have received less than 100 of that model. Further, other competitors have had stock far enough down their lines to fulfill pre-orders and deeper in queues. I am aware that I won't coax any response from an offical Rogers rep, but I hope that this tack (and trust me, compared to my true frustration this is tackful) response to the current roll-out will cause Rogers as an organization to rethink their systems, process, and responses to their "appreciated" customers. To be told that there is no information, they don't have any information, and won't have any more information from a business rep that is only accessible during the work hours of EST (which does nothing for western Canada) is unacceptable. At this point, I am bound by a contract and unable to change but as I have watched customers in Telus and Bell queues receive similar AND exact devices quicker than I (one of the first pre-orders) have I am disappointed to say the least. I will continue to impatiently wait for stock to get figured out and Rogers to irritate more and more "valued" customers but until then I hope enough customers express their frustration in non-violent and respectful manner as to alert Rogers to their extremely poor organization through this process. If enough customers are vocal in a mannered fashion I hope it can cause enough ruckus up the Rogers chain of command to merrit a change in process come next announcment.
Frustrated Pre-Order #290
I know Rogers employees are reading these forums ... e.g. I've seen RogersDarrell's name pop up on several posts.
Unfortunately, their purpose seem to be maintaining proper forum ettiquette rather than responding to our queries.
As for Corporate vs Consumer, I'm on the consumer side.
I too would give preference to Consumers over Corporate (sorry), but right now neither side seems to be progressing much.
Oh well, it's Friday ...
Hey, so I'll be the first to admit I am not in marketing nor did I take business administration or anything of the kind in university to defend a counter point to Consumer vs. Corporate but I am curious as to how come? This is not a pointed, sarcastic, or anything along those lines question more than just honest curiosity. Why would you choose to fulfill consumer orders prior to corporate. I thought corporate accounts were where the larger money would be due to more traveling (travel packages = larger mark-up), larger voice plans (also more margin), larger accounts (more users), and a single point of customer service (an I.T. manager or person responsible for managing the phones = less people to keep happy and easier to direct focus and attention).
Honestly, don't feel obligated to respond I just was intrigued by your comment and figured it would be a different topic than the frustration of long queues.
I pre ordered a 6+ 128GB SL on 12 Sep. I started in 250ish place but have been stuck at around 90 for a few weeks! When can I reasonably expect to get the phone?
Nice to met you #90. I'm #96 for the exact same phone! Are you a Consumer or Corporate Customer?
If in September over the phone, I negotiated a 2 year $60 contract with HUP to the iphone 6 + can I still go to a Rogers plus store for this HUP or do I have to wait? Apple store is out of the question for me...as I already tried 😞
First off, being a Consumer, I will admit I made my comments for 100% selfish reasons!
From a marketing standpoint, every company wants a positive Public image.
Not that Corporate Consumers are not important, but the average public consumer / the Press do not see/care how Corporate consumers are treated.
The press usually jumps on cases where the Public is perceived to have been treated unfairly, but less seem to care when Corporations get hosed ...
Hence that's why I feel it would have been in Roger's best interst to prioritize their focus on regular "Average Joe" consumers, to help maintain a better image to a larger population.
I called rogers office, they couldn't tell me when my iphone 6 would be delivered to my local rogers store and I should call the store. I called the store and they told me they had no idea. So who knows? Someone must know. I am anxious to get my hands on that new phone.
