Apple iPhone 6 & 6 Plus Questions / Reservation numbers!.

Hello Everyone!

 

 

 

Once again i am making the iPhone Questions / Reservation thread!!!!! Apple just announced the new iPhone which is called iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus . The new iPhone's includes a bigger screen, different backing design, better camera & VoLTE & much much more. . This thread will be where you need to post questions & even your reservation numbers once Rogers announces it & puts it up. Please do NOT make another thread about reservation & or about the new iPhone . I would like to keep it as one thread & clean..I am sure getting the iPhone Plus !!!

 

 

 

1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the iPhone 6 to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want " iPhone 6 / 6 Plus  16GB, 64G,128GB  " & the color of the device you want. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

 

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.

- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.

- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.

- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.

 

 

2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.

 

 

3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level  on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues  / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

 

 

 

Pre orders will come out Friday Sept 12th & Launch date is Next Friday Sept 19th. I am sure Rogers will follow those orders. As for the device orders & which models Rogers will get. I am sure Rogers will get botboth models like they did last year.

 

Also the prices for both phones are different. So if you are going to get the iPhone 6 Plus, it will be much higher price then the iPhone 6. Rogers will announce the phone prices within either today or  sometime before Friday!!!

 

 

Also remember please post anything related about iPhone 6 & 6 Plus in here please. I know this is a long thread to read, but read it before asking multiple questions in which have been already answered in this post ( if they have been answered on this post / thread). I will do my best like I have for the past 4 years of doing this to answer any questions you have about the reservations or device.

they do this becuase of all the free media attention they get with people lining up infrnt of their stores to get a phone if there was an adaequte supply of phones apple would't be on the news since no one will line up infront of the store becuase their is enough supply.

I don't think there is an issue with regular iPhones. Most stores I checked out have the 4.7" in stock and are filling reservations.

The trend seems to be Apple under estimating demand when they create unique choice offerings-- something Apple has never really done other than Black or White and size. We saw it with the Gold iPhone and now the 6 Plus.

If Apple Watch is as popular, that sounds like it'll be the biggest headache ever 🙂

Hey Jessiewe, Bayview and Eglinton. I don't think changing will help if you're still open. To qualify my pick up, I was number 7 last Friday for my 6 Plus 64GB Space Grey up until changing to In Progress this past Thursday. I'm guessing I made it in the first shipment.

Apple doesn't seem to be having stock issues.  The Apple reserve in store system was updated and I was able to select the same model iphone 6 space grey that Rogers isn't able to deliver.  About 20 minutes ago a friend checked again and iphone 6 + appeared in the apple reservation system.  He reserved one for later today at Rideau in ottawa.

With no expectation that Rogers can / will fix the issues that plagued them from the pre-launch opening bell to today, the lesson learned for me going forward is to maximize reservation opportunities with as many outlets as possible, rather than just Rogers alone.

Not that I can imagine why anybody would wait two weeks--If you don't want it cancel so that it can go out to someone in line.

I dont agree with you there, its a new apple product, people will line up regradeless to be one of the first people to have the new iPhone, in 3 months time and especially when the galaxy s6 comes out, there will already be so many rumors of the 6s or 7, what ever apple decides to go with, I did read that Apple did not expect SO much demand of the Plus, but then again, even if they made too many for launchy day, they would sell them easily over time...yes I know there might be a big over head then, but that is better then hurting their relationship with loyal customers.

 

Meowmix, I thought the only Foxconn plant that produces iPhone is in China? Im guessing I am wrong??

I don't think it'll be months. The Rogers reps have no clue but if you get a phone at the store and cancel your business reservation you won't be charged. It's one or the other.

I used Apple's reservation system at midnight last night for a 16GB iPhone 6. Worked like a charm. I'm not paying full price, I will be doing a HUP with Rogers when I pick it up at the Apple Store. Can't wait!! 😄

The iPhone 6 I reserved through Rogers will be arriving in Sherbrooke, QC this week. If anyone is interested, I'm not taking it!

Both Rogers and UPS are USELESS! Looks Like i'm staying in progress until tomorrow since UPS doesn't do anything on weekends which i find even more useless about them. These postal companies really need to be a 24/7 service instead of mostly having to rely on business days...

Lucky for all of you using the Apple system, i tried that at midnight but unfortunately I live in Toronto. So you could probably guess why it didn't work out too well.

Frankly, I'm not yet convinced that Apple got the demand wrong. I think what Apple got wrong was the pent up demand for something new and the 6+ certainly speaks to something new. Once the novelty wears off and practicality weighs in, I expect many of the people that lunged at the 6+ to either change to a 6 before the limit is reached or if they go past, end up regretting the choice. I think Apple projected something like 65% 6 and 35% 6 PLUS. Once the dust settles, I don't think they will be that far off.

Hey Everyone,

 

So I won this Rogers First Rewards Challange at the Rogers Cup a little over a month ago and now have 505,000 Rogers First Rewards points ($5,050 worth of points). I am planning on using about $750 of those points to upgrade mine and someone else's phone (iPhone 6, 64gb space grey and iPhone 6+ 64gb gold). What I was wondering if you guys have any great ideas for how I could spend these Rogers points???

 

Also, any guesses about when I can expect my 6's

So as a gesture of goodwill, since this launch was a failure from start to end, (reservations opening at 3 instead of 5, no delivery of ANY iPhone 6plus to certain Rogers store, poor communication of updates regarding the situation, web site outage for days, time spent trying to find out for ourselves what's going on- did I miss any?) is Rogers going to offer us anything for our troubles? Like a $50 credit towards our bill? They should. It just would make this situation a little better to swallow and be a good gesture to loyal reservation customers who reserved early. Everyone (stores) keeps falling back to the statement "there was no guarantee it would come on time, we told u so etc...but still to not get at least 200 of each phone canada wide is unbelievable, esp when other carriers got on launch day. True no guarantee of delivery dates, but there was an assurance of updates from Rogers as to the status of our reservation, and an expectation that their site would be up and running. Just my two cents here...

Whoever said that is a moron. As long as you're getting it from a Rogers store and not a rogers authorized dealer, that doesn't matter. Your number has nothing to do with that, it's just the pick up location.

As for me still iPhone 6+ 64 GB Gold - IN PROGRESS,

tomorrow should be the day it gets shipped 🙂
