Apple iPhone 6 & 6 Plus Questions / Reservation numbers!.

Hello Everyone!

 

 

 

Once again i am making the iPhone Questions / Reservation thread!!!!! Apple just announced the new iPhone which is called iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus . The new iPhone's includes a bigger screen, different backing design, better camera & VoLTE & much much more. . This thread will be where you need to post questions & even your reservation numbers once Rogers announces it & puts it up. Please do NOT make another thread about reservation & or about the new iPhone . I would like to keep it as one thread & clean..I am sure getting the iPhone Plus !!!

 

 

 

1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the iPhone 6 to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want " iPhone 6 / 6 Plus  16GB, 64G,128GB  " & the color of the device you want. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

 

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.

- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.

- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.

- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.

 

 

2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.

 

 

3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level  on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues  / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

 

 

 

Pre orders will come out Friday Sept 12th & Launch date is Next Friday Sept 19th. I am sure Rogers will follow those orders. As for the device orders & which models Rogers will get. I am sure Rogers will get botboth models like they did last year.

 

Also the prices for both phones are different. So if you are going to get the iPhone 6 Plus, it will be much higher price then the iPhone 6. Rogers will announce the phone prices within either today or  sometime before Friday!!!

 

 

Also remember please post anything related about iPhone 6 & 6 Plus in here please. I know this is a long thread to read, but read it before asking multiple questions in which have been already answered in this post ( if they have been answered on this post / thread). I will do my best like I have for the past 4 years of doing this to answer any questions you have about the reservations or device.

That's crazy!  How do they work their registration system?  Makes no scense to me.  Are you around the Hamilton area?  Hopefully you can pick it up today, i guess ill have to keep waiting...

I have already resigned myself to the fact that I won't get the phone till next week... I know it's just a phone and I won't die without it so I am not whining about that... What I am "whining" about is how crazy it is that Rogers did not get more than 200 phones of each make canada wide.... That's the upsetting part and it's not Rogers fault there. It is Rogers fault however that their site has been down (at least for me) from last night and there is no communication from them. The left hand doesn't seem to know what the right hand is doing as one tends to get so many differing answers regarding this phone and it's availability. They should fix their site and post info regarding the delay in the 6plus, instead of showing the iPhones on their site with an invitation to reserve. This was a terrible launch from Apple and Rogers...

Just returned from lunch and passed a local Rogers Plus (Richmond Hill) store. They have 0 iPhone 6+, but have plenty of Gold 6s and some Silver models. Even more surprising is they don't expect to have a Demo to display until next week, given they are nearly in stores before the phone it's unlikely any 6+ will arrive anytime soon.

I, don't see this as a thread so much of people complaining about not getting there phones but the lack of response from Rogers to tell us anything about whats going on and what is going to happen to fix it. over 7000 comments on this thread and I didn't see anything from a Rogers person, other than some people saying they work for Rogers and they are saying what they heard but not to take it as gosple as it is justwhat they "heard"

 

I have to agree with the people wanting to at least learn what is going on. It's dissapointing that Rogers is not issuing an update of some sorts so people can know the situation, and then accept it adn be able to leave it alone until when ever they say they will be able to fullfill orders.

 

And if you are saying well they might not know anything yet to give answers, then they can say that a simple "We are aware that many of you are wanting to know what is going on with the status of your orders/reservations. We are currently learning all we can so we can aswer your questions. When we have the information to pass on to all of you we will issue a statement here (insert link) We appriciate your co-operations in this matter"

 

or something like that, so that they at least acknoledge that they know we are here and upset.

I honestly would take Rogers "reserve" system with a huge grain of salt. Their website is ALWAYS down. 60% of the time I go there it's down. There's no way I'm going to believe what the reservation systems says.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if we all get a call for our reserved device later today. I'm sure everyone working at Rogers is going crazy right now.

Hello everyone

So i am heading to work without a device. The devices haven't even shown up at the store. It kinda feels weird but i got my friend to stay on my behalf to see if he can get it for me. Added him as a authorized user level 1 and he will do the upgrade for me.

So is anyone getting calls about their 6+ even though they are still listed as in progress? My rogers plus store led me to believe that the reservation site isn't all that accurate.

I have a Plus 64 did Space Grey on reservation... last # was 123 up from 122 last night LOL Figure that one out. So I went down to Futureshop for right when they opened... and put my hands on both the 6 and the plus and the plus is just way too big for my liking for a phone. I walked out with an iPhone 6 128 gig Space Grey.... I may or may not cancel the Plus... can't decide.

 

Lots of stock at Futureshop here and NO line up. I walked right in and didn't even have to wait. Yet the Roger's store I passed was lined up lol

Sounds like they delivered it to the wrong store. But the people at my store don't know anything about it (not their fault) and it's impossible to get UPS on the phone. Awesome right? *sigh*

the polo park rogers plus had a lot of iphone 6, i got my 64gb silver from them cause the store i waited overnight for the pembina south one, had late shipments. they have some in now but i dont know how much, but it was quiet in there when i went back to make an account payment & the guy said another shipment is also due today, so just call either of those stores ask if they have any then go for it, if u get it then just cancel the reservation or tell the store u dont want it whenever they get it and call

Hello olchika,

Although all pre-ordered Iphone6/6+ through Apple are purchased at full price without an option of hardware upgrade or new activation contracts. All depends on what is right for that person. Glad to hear you've received your phone though, I hear that even Apple had issues stocking themselves to a point that Employees at their stores didn't have one automatically set aside for them, they had to reserve their own and test their luck with the reservation system.

Good to see progress regardless as to where it is because it means that the stock is moving, and that's good news for everyone.

Just got confirmation that my iphone 6 64gb silver reserved via corporate account is being shipped out in an hour!
