Hey everyone!!

Once again its the time of the year that Apple announces their new iPhone line up. I am happy to announce That Apple this afternoon announced the Apple iPhone 7 / 7 Plus !. The device seem to have amazing specs! Including water resistant and most of all, new cameras and also including new chips and memory!



1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Apple iPhone 7/7 Plus to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; IPhone 7 / 7 Plus in any color and Black and what other colors they may release it on. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

I also ordered matte black 128gb and no updates. I ordered last week of November, and initially estimated for 2-4 weeks, which changes to 6 weeks and now the 60 days. 

 

Corporate account btw, so I've had to live chat/ call in to get updates (which has just been the ETA changes)

I have been waiting since  September and now Its January 19, 2017!  the phone is widly availale at each apple store, and Rogers tells me that the phone is out of stock and we dont have a queue number, and I asked for other options they told me i could just get it from apple store on a contract with the Carrier of my choice, I tried it and it didnt work when i already signed up for a Contract back in September and now waiting for the phone. Apple will only do it new Sign ups.

Most carriers stores aren't getting stock as Apple gives most of their stock to the Apple stores instead.

Also that's incorrect. Apple stores DO upgrades on the accounts as long as there is no owing balance on the account and the account is up to date. Also you mean you signed up with Rogers without a phone and just waiting to get this phone or did u do a upgrade and just waiting for the phone to arrive?

That is how I feel. I am sitting at 245 so I guess we will get ours around the same time, will I even want it at that point????

Yeah I'm a bit disappointed...

 

Apparently the only color they have in stock is Silver. 

 

I even asked about the 256 GB option and they have none of the colors...

 

I might change my order to the Silver..

I'm also located in Ontario. I've been waiting since the 3rd week in November for my corporate phone (which I use as my personal line too). No sign of it, no one can provide an answer up the chain as to when it will arrive.

 

Seriously, what the heck is going on that is causing the back up for corporate devices??

@bowzy  Curious as to what you ordered.  I ordered in November and FINALLY  I got my phone yeah.  I ordered a rose gold 128 GB and believe me that will be the last phone I buy as it is going to last me many years.... lol

For years it seems the business and corporate reservations have been delayed for weeks / months. Might be something going on but who knows.

Sadly yes as we all know reps have no answer as they have no way of communicating with the warehouse and the warehouse does not communicate out bounds sadly.

Have never had such poor customer service as I just had dealing with Rogers over this issue.

 

I ordered my matte black  iPhone 7 Plus 128gb on September 13 and have been inching my way through the waitlist.  I just found out today that a friend on the same corporate plan who ordered the exact same phone but in late November just received his, and for half the price that I had been quoted!

 

I called Rogers to find out how somebody ordering months after on exactly the same plan I was on could jump ahead of the queue and was told that there are two lists, one for people who reserved when the iPhone 7/7Plus was announced and one for after Rogers began receiving stock.  The Rogers rep told me that the list for early reservations does not receive any preference whatsover and that you actually receive your phone much faster if you wait a month or so to order!

 

I'm amazed that they operate like this and will be looking to terminate my contract and move to Telus tomorrow.

That is not correct in what the rep said. That is misinformation that they are feeding out. The wait list is the same all around. Did that person contact Rogers nd or contact the Office of the President and have them speed it up? That would help in a situation like this.

Goodluck with Telus. They aren't any better but again no carrier is.

As I said my friend is on the same plan and ordered the same phone, but 2 months later.  He received an email yesterday that it was being shipped and then got the phone today.

 

I offered a few times to give the rep his name and phone number so he could look at the account himself to verify what I was saying and see what could be done to speed mine up but he had no interest.  

 

As an existing customer to have to wait over 4 months for a phone that I could get much faster by walking into any Rogers Store and signing up as a new customer is ridiculous.  And the fact that the phone reservation queue isn't going in order doesn't give me any faith that any one there knows what's going on or even cares.

What i am saying is that maybe he called in and speed it up? If not then maybe u guess he got lucky...

Actually no rep is allowed to access someone else's account unless the actual account owner is present or there. That's why he never did and not what you though he was " no interest". By law if he accesses someone's account without the account holder being present or if u aren't a account level one on the account, the rep can lose their job and a lawsuit can happen. That's ur answer on that.

Oh i agree. Unfortunately it seems to be something happening on all reservations I have seen in many years. Some get it faster then others and others wait. I do remember the iPhone 6 /6S some waited months as well for it. Maybe something to do with business / compare accounts but honestly there is no answer to this.

Update: 

 

I ordered a matte black during the black friday sale. When I saw that all the other colors got restocked, I chatted with rogers (3rd or 4th time) to see what was going on and they blamed supply issues and backlog of orders. They offered to credit my account the difference between today's price and sale price if I was able to get one in store.  

 

Badly needed a phone now so I tried my luck . First store I went to said they wouldn't process my upgrade because it was a corporate account (but the girl didn't even try on the system -- basically said they could get in trouble later on.) Was waiting at the mall while the gf was shopping so I figured why not try again (different from first store) and the guy processed it right away. He said usually it would stop them from processing if there was an issue.

That is correct. Most stores can not proceed with the upgrade as their systems are not capable to do it as they get blocked and even if they do get access and aren't allowed, the rep can get in trouble. So i see why she never tried.

They sent me out a brand new iPhone 7 Plus JB 256GB to replace my existing one due to a fee issues I had. ( They normally won't do that but speaking to a manager they override that and did it.).

So they do have them in stock but seems the business and corporate customer reservations are still waiting ( atleast for the JB model unless the 256GB isn't a big deal due to the amount)

You know I was quite shocked to discover this weekend that two of my friends have received/will be receiving their iphones. Both ordered the 128gb Matte Black iphone plus. One ordered it two weeks ago (from bell) and received it on Friday (also, he too has a corporate plan) and the other ordered his in December and his will be arriving this week. Now, eveyone keeps saying that it's apple, they aren't sending enough phones out to carriers and I am arriving at the conclusion that it's just rogers fault. This is a mess. I pay monthly for a phone I do not have, I don't think it will change in the next little while, my current iphone 5 holds a charge for a whopping two hours and I need a phone.

 

Rogers is a mess and they shouldn't be forcing people to sign for new plans and pay monthly for them if they can't deliver the phones. This is absurd. Also just for reference still sitting in the 200s and ordered my phone Sept 26.
