Hey everyone!!

Once again its the time of the year that Apple announces their new iPhone line up. I am happy to announce That Apple this afternoon announced the Apple iPhone 7 / 7 Plus !. The device seem to have amazing specs! Including water resistant and most of all, new cameras and also including new chips and memory!



1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Apple iPhone 7/7 Plus to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; IPhone 7 / 7 Plus in any color and Black and what other colors they may release it on. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

Hmm that's no good at all. Have you spoken to the manager and or Office of the President?. Maybe they could be a bit more helpful.

Hello @courtney23 I have also had the same issue in that one tells me the prices and the next time I call I am informed that that information is incorrect and no way so they up the plan.  Getting frustrated as they do NOT care. It just irks me that I get told to go to a Rogers store to get the IPhone and how I will get my phone when they  have no idea what they are talking about.  I really wished these call centres were better trained.  I now tape all telephone conversations because writing down information they give and reference means nothing it seems.

Hello @Ben33-3  I am curious as you ordered a 7Plus 128Gb was it delivered as they promised???  I doubt it but am wondering...

Just giving you a warning. If you recorded the phone call without asking for permission they can technically deny service and with anyone issues that arise from that phone call, your recording will deemed invalid and not even bothered with. Just a warning as legally you need to ask the rep / manager permission if you can record them " just as Rogers tells u they record the phone call". I did the same years ago and since then have asked permission as its required by law.

Other then that I agree with you on everything else.

So guys, Im an employee a company that ordered these phones (I ordered jet black 128 iphone 7 +) through the reservation system. I have been asking my boss constantly throughout the 4.5 months wait what is going on. He finally had time to contact them yesterday and had a lengthy 2 hour conversation. The entire time the company was waiting on these phones that were supposed to be "PROCESSING" was actually in fact CANCELLED the week it released. How can Rogers a billion dollar bluechip company have such a fail internal system to handle orders. 

 

My boss had to go through 2 tiers of supervisors to get to the bottom of this. Externally to Kiosks and lower level rogers employees, they see that our order is PROCESSING. However the internal system which only supervisors and higher level rogers employees can see it shows CANCELLED. This was the most ridiculous thing ever. They said we will get our phones in 2 weeks only because we called and made a fuss about it. So for most ppl that are still waiting on their corporate iphones, I suggest getting their bosses call in and find out the root of the order. Cause obviously just by calling call center and kiosks staff. they will not know the real status of the order. Hope everyone gets their phones.!

So I just got an email from rogers saying they have made changes to my account and is charging me for the iPhone. Hopefully it means it's coming?

Rhat usually means yes they are charging you the price of the device as its ready to be shipped out.

Many aren't calling the stores here.. They are calling unto Rogers call centers.

In the beginning yes it seems many had their reservations cancelled randomly. Regular and business / corporate customers as well. They figured it out but still happened right after. This whole reservation for the iPhone 7 was a mess I must admit.

Hello @Meowmix Yes, when I called them and spoke with a Rep I informed them that the shoe was on the other foot and I was recording the call because I was tired of the lies.  The Rep said no problem so no I would never tape without informing them like they do.  Still though it means nothing to them.  

I am beginning to think that Rogers is just not interested in handling the 7 Plus and hoping that we will abandon the iphone for the Google Pixel as they seem to be pushing it.  Just a thought....  Perhaps they cannot make as much $ on othe Iphone 7 Plus as they can on the Google Pixel?  Something just does not add up....

They do inform you before connecting you to a live agent that the phone call is being recorded for training and other. Most companies do this. It's good that u asked for the permission first!

The problem is that they don't have any Pixel XL units which are similar to the iPhone 7 Plus. Even with the Pixel they promote not many are going for it u noticed. They also promoted heavily the iPhone 7 Plus but are told to promote it the same way other carriers are ( Apple controls the promotion of the iPhone launches and promos.).

But i do agree that they need to fix this and figure it out.

Rogers must have got a big shipment. I am a corporate customer, was #17 for the past 3 weeks.

 

Status changed today to "In Progress" and then "Order in Progess (Activation)"

 

Hopefully ships soon with no issues as i'm still on an older corporate plan.

Dang, I'm still waiting on my Plus Matte Black 128gb to come in.

 

A colleague of mine who order his Plus Silver 128gb at the same time as me got his phone end of october -_-

I ordered the Plus Matte Black 128Gb as well.  My order status has been 'In Progress' since I started and I only moved one spot from yesterday, now at 246 out of 500. When I spoke to the rep on the phone she said 'People that order that phone will get it in 60 days but you might not.'

 

What am I supposed to do with that? I'll be waiting longer than the new people that order their phones. Real great service. Top knotch. I will definitely reccommend Rogers to everyone. Ugh.

I wanted to drop back in to thank everyone for the follow on responses... I've tried several times to sign back in but the site wouldn't let me... I'm SURE it's just a coincidence (haha).

 

So it looks like the skies have opened and the angels have started singing because I got an email this morning saying my order status was "Shipped".... about 6 weeks from my order date.

 

I don't know if this means another 4 weeks for it to arrive but I'm hoping that living in the downtown area will mean a decent turnaround. It just feels awfully good that I may be able to make phone calls without my phone being plugged into the wall soon...
