Hey everyone!!

Once again its the time of the year that Apple announces their new iPhone line up. I am happy to announce That Apple this afternoon announced the Apple iPhone 7 / 7 Plus !. The device seem to have amazing specs! Including water resistant and most of all, new cameras and also including new chips and memory!



1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Apple iPhone 7/7 Plus to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; IPhone 7 / 7 Plus in any color and Black and what other colors they may release it on. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

The 128GB JB IPhone 7 Plus is the hardest to find. I found many 256GB JB Including mine At a Rogers store.

Even Apple Store don't get lot of 128go. Few had the 256go and that is what i finally pick and i pay the full price... Im not on any contract since 2014 and finally im happy to stay away from contract

Yes a few 256GB JB iPhone 7 Plus models have appeared at the Apple stores but it's rare to find that one. When I went to put a glass screen protector on my ip7+ 256GB JB many waited outside for that same one and only 2 got them as they only had 2. They told everyone that even the Apple store barely gets the 128GB model.

My order has been escalated to the office of the president since last Monday and still has not moved after being escalated on the business side ... Rogers is really terrible at expectations management!

Its not really Rogers fault atm, Its apple since this is a massive mess.... Surprisingly there's tones of Iphone7 in stock, Not so much of the iphone7+ mostly the 128GB vers.

As of right now I'm at 130 for the Matte Black 128GB Iphone7+.

Actually this IS Rogers fault. They've likely allocated 99% of their phones from Apple to NEW customers only. Apple doesn't decide how Rogers cuts the pie.

totally agree with @Staveros. This is now a Roger's issue. lots of stock coming in, they've allocated everything, I repeat, EVERYTHING, to consumer and new activations. there are 0 devices allocated to corp. Problem is, no one knows when the corp stock is coming in, and the way things are now, doesn't look like they're planning on allocating any stock to corp until the reservation queue is non-existent for consumer, which would mean it could be christmas or new year's, (maybe even past) before we'll see anything. total F*%&! job by Roger's (pardon my french).

 

I feel as if they are watching this forum, and execs sitting with beer in hand saying to each other, let's see how angry we can get corp customer's before they cancel so we know the tolerance levels...

From what I've been reading on the forums is that everyone is waiting for a 7+

Just checked. No Apple store seems to have any Plus models on any GB OR color. Seems like even Apple is having stock issues.

Hey Meowmix,

What's the longest you've seen an order sit in "in progress" for?

it's been 8 business days now.  there's no excuse for that.  they wouldn't put an order "in progress" unless there is inventory for that order.   unless someone messed up.

 

Do you know what department i can talk to who's in charge of that process that can give me answers?

Unfortunately you won't be able to speak to them as they aren't front reps. The warehouse does that. They don't speak to the customers or public.

In the iPhone 5S thread I do remember someome waited almost 2.5 weeks to get theirs. Their was some delay with UPS and the warehouse.

what if i find the phone at the rogers store.

can i buy it there, and then forfeit my reserved phone when it ships, and still get my $40 reservation fee back?

Yes i explained that on my first post on page one. If you find the device anywhere else and buy it from there, you can cancel the reservation if the reservation is in OPEN status and the refund will come to u for the $40 reservation fee. If ur status is IN PROGRESS then you will have to wait until it ships out to get that $40 reservation fee back but u can still go upgrade anywhere else if u find the device. Once the store calls u about the reservation devices, let them know u don't want it and to sell it to someone else.

Im on the corporate side and was #4 forever! I was waiting and waiting until I had enough and found an Apple store that had the 128gb Jet Black 7+ in stock and was all over it, reserved it and picked it up that night.  Been using it fora week and it is great.

 

Funny thing is, I called in to Rogers to cancell my reservation and the rep had the gull to tell me that mine would have been shipped out this week.  I said really, before I called in to cancel they had no idea of stock or where it was coming from and now that I found a phone on my own they all of a sudden have info on stock and shipping times?  really?  What a joke.

 

My advice is to give it up and go for a hunt of an Apple store, you'll be waiting until the iphone 8 comes out.

 

I know what I need to do next September and it doesnt involve Rogers reservations.

They are trained to try and keep ur order instead of cancelling it. The reps are the last ones to get my kinda of information.

Again as we all said and u said, better check Apple next time.

Thats not what happened at all @Meowmix, they werent trying to keep my order, they said that it was a good idea for me to track it down to an Apple store, the comedy of all of this is that they all of a sudden knew had my phone and were ready to ship this week?  Where was this information when I called in numerous times before finding my phone at an Apple store.

Yes that too. Did it ship out? If not then they didn't know and it was a assumption. That's all. Reps always do thay that's why i always take what they say with a grain of salt.

If it did ship out then the system most likely updated and showed them that information.

@charles1977 Rogers twitter support told me today that "'In Progress' means there is potentially inventory that may cover your order."

At least when there was a number and you checked it, even if you only dropped one spot in a day, at least you knew where you were in line.
