Hey everyone!!

Once again its the time of the year that Apple announces their new iPhone line up. I am happy to announce That Apple this afternoon announced the Apple iPhone 7 / 7 Plus !. The device seem to have amazing specs! Including water resistant and most of all, new cameras and also including new chips and memory!



1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Apple iPhone 7/7 Plus to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; IPhone 7 / 7 Plus in any color and Black and what other colors they may release it on. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

lol i can't believe it but my iphone 7 plus 128 GB is now ready to ship from rogers!

 

good thing i didn't open the box yet for the 256 GB.

 

meowmix, i should just be able to do a simple return at the apple store and they will just reverse the 2 year contract i signed right?

wait a minute.

I  think i'm wrong.

i saw an email from rogers regarding the reservation and it said great news so i assumed things were in the works.  but when i read the email again, it doesn't say anything about the phone being shipped.  It just says what place in line i am and that my phone will ship when ready.  seems like an update email.

so i checked online and my reservation shows "open" still.  

 

totally misleading email.

 

guess i'm not returning the phone back to apple store. lol

In reference to the position number for the preorder, is it specific to each model, memory and colour? For instance, can there be multiple individuals with a position number of 500 because they ordered different versions of the iPhone 7's?

Yes there can be multiple people with 500 reservation number on different models. So i can be #500 for the iPhone 7 Jet Black 128GB but u can be #500 for the iPhone 7 Plus 128 GB Jet Black. Different ques thoufh

I just got a shipping confirmation from Rogers via email. It has a UPS tracking number and all.... does that mean my iPhone 7+ JB has shipped?

just got a shipped email and text from rogers at the same time 8pm winnipeg time. wow..well finally. was soon starting to consider going to the 6s+...

business or consumer?

 

trying to figure mine out, 

mine went from 14 to 13 yesterday.. still at position 13 "open" for the jet black i7 plus 128gb

So today I walked into my local rogers store and low and behold they had multiple 7+ black 128gb!!!!!!! Ive been waiting since day one at around #225 on the corporate side like many of you, then it was made "priority/escalate" which did absolutly nothing!!!!!. The staff working there had there own JB 7+'s!!!! This reservation system is absolutly useless!!!!!!!!  

I will never use it again. Next year ill be using apples reservation system or checking my local rogers store!!!!

They don't have their own. Stores get demos which the reps are allowed to use them to show them off to customers. That is apart of Apple's program to show off the devices. Each carrier store gets around 3-4 demo units. 1 demo unit goes as a live unit, the other ones are handed down to the store manager and the reps which have been there for a while.

Now depends on which store u went too, again some stores got a handful of units to sell or cancellation of the reservations ones which customers told the stores they don't want it and some it to walk ins.

@Meowmix they told me that they bought theirs!!   and how did they have multiple 128gb matte black when preorder customers are waiting.  was just fluke i walked into the store and asked and the fact that they actually had many different sku's of 7+ in stock blew me away, NEVER again will I use the reservation system!!!!!!!!  Its a joke!!!!!

Did they proved any proof that they got it from the store instead of Apple or any proof that they bought it from Rogers before hand? I doubt it. Do remember many bought them and got them from Apple instead. So they COULD have gotten then from that way. Again no one knows. Anyone could say anything.

But as i said if the store had them, could be cancellations or they were lucky to get them where other stores don't even have stock. Again no one knows the truth. Most likely they got a lucky shipment from the warehouse and only got a few units or cancellations from others.. No one knows what is going on.

That is your choice not to use the reservation system again. Next year go with Apple but Hopefully they don't have issues with stock again next year.

Oh I know its my choice not to use it.  They both laughed about the reservtion system!! and they didnt buy there phones through apple.   However thank you for all you do @Meowmix with the forums, ill be ordering through apple next year.
