Hey everyone!!

Once again its the time of the year that Apple announces their new iPhone line up. I am happy to announce That Apple this afternoon announced the Apple iPhone 7 / 7 Plus !. The device seem to have amazing specs! Including water resistant and most of all, new cameras and also including new chips and memory!



1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Apple iPhone 7/7 Plus to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; IPhone 7 / 7 Plus in any color and Black and what other colors they may release it on. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

Then why the lies from reps in store and online saying a few days to maybe a week for getting a pre-order phone and December for sure they will have stock for walk-ins?

No one knows when any stock will come. No rep in store, over the phone or online. They have no idea when it will come. They are told to say within the next couple of weeks or months but that's it. Some reps don't even bother following the script or told what to say and say whatever they want. Which causes confusion and problems. Those reps don't seem to care.

That's actually a pet peeve of mine following a script.... if it's online or on the phone I ask the rep to drop the script as it doesn't answer my questions and usually just "frustrates" me even more then b4 I contacted them... I also ask if they don't know the answer just to say so instead of saying stuff that's scripted.

at least if it was scripted you know that someone in a position of knowing authorized the script...

but thats not the case.. most of the reps are talking out of their ... and have no idea what they're talking about..

You mean this answer I got from a manager at Rogers Business Support was scripted?

 

"Silver has been a very low supply SKU. The good news is we have healthy deliveries planned this week and next, so it should start moving quite a bit."

 

That would be an absolute shame. I am starting to believe it is, though, because still no movement since they sent it to me on Tuesday and I am sitting in the queue at 18 for the 7+ Silver 128GB. But why even mention that they have deliveries planned if it is all just script?

No one knows what skues are coming in. The only ones that know are the Apple warehouses that ship them out. They are told to say things to calm down customers which is great and all but should be given the proper answers.

Bummer! Oh well, guess will just have to wait till November, or maybe the iPhone 7+ will be my Christmas gift...

I'm going thru apple to get mine in 4hrs. My current phone "functions" but has battery life issues (has since day 1(goes from fully charged to 80% in 40 min without the phone being used (that is an example as phone is in my purse as it takes me 40 min to drive to work))), deletes random texts and pictures (somehow I lost the entire night of pics and videos from my co-workers wedding), and now I don't get any notifications of either missed call/text/charging/low battery.

Hey all - If purchasing the Iphone 7 from the Apple Store, would I be paying the full price for the phone or do they offer the discounted price, if selecting a 2 year plan. Or do I have to coninue with my pre-order (through Rogers) to receive the discount?

You can do which ever one you want BUT you must reservarve it from Apple in order to get it on a carrier. Also if u decide to do it by the carrier, u pay nothing up front

You can't blame UPS without knowing the cause... It could have been Apple's warehouse for all we know. Until Apple or UPS comes out and says something, no one knows what happened

@Meowmix Rogers upper management does know what SKU's are coming in. My issue is being dealt with by by the office of the president within Rogers and they told my they're not allowed to tell me when the shipments are coming in just that it's sooner than later. They have been helpful since mine was escalated however I still don't have a i7+ so I guess I'm no better off than anyone else. Heading to Apple tomorrow to pick mine up.

Upper management only know some skues but not all. Apple only releases some information but not all. That's why they don't tell customers anything.

Either way at this point again it's a waiting game.

lol thats funny,

maybe rogers will be copycats too and copy verizon and AT&T and start giving away iphone 7's for free with a 2 year plan, make unlimited LTE data and cut the monthly charges in half...

 

would be nice..

 

i often thought about going to buffalo and getting a Verizon plan and using it with 100% roaming here in Toronto, and it will still be cheaper than ANY of the big three carriers in Canada

So I cancelled my reservation with Rogers and picked up a Matte Black 7+ from Apple. I made the decision after I called Rogers, who said they had received internal emails stating how the JB will be delivered 6-8 weeks from launch date.

 

Couldn't wait for that long and besides, Rogers pre-order is a sham which was setup in the worst ways imaginable. 

 

One more then, the JB gets finger print smudges like crazy, you might have to carry a cloth with you everywhere. If you are going to use a cover, I would say cancel the poor Rogers reservation and resevr directly with Apple, where you can still go on to your existing plan.

I was at position 80 yesterday for 7+ rose gold 128 gb today I am at 22. Doubt that is from many cancellations.
However my pre-order of 7+ matte black 128gb was originally at position 772 or something is still at 367.

am on the phone with rogers retention and she swears to me they have iphone 7 plus get black in stock .she wants to give me it at $529
