Hey everyone!!

Once again its the time of the year that Apple announces their new iPhone line up. I am happy to announce That Apple this afternoon announced the Apple iPhone 7 / 7 Plus !. The device seem to have amazing specs! Including water resistant and most of all, new cameras and also including new chips and memory!



1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Apple iPhone 7/7 Plus to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; IPhone 7 / 7 Plus in any color and Black and what other colors they may release it on. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

The internally tracking number is only allowed to be used by the warehouse and that's it. Not to the public. So that won't happen.

so why ebay has such system if they have their own warehouse too?

Activated and all ready to go!

They only give you a tracking number when the item is shipped out. Not when the item is within some other company and u only pre ordered it and haven't paid for the device yet....

The reservation system you don't pay for the device until u so the upgrade or buy it outright. So that means a while back when Rogers did do this, they would have given u the tracking number ONCE the device is in Rogers hands and they have packaged it for u and ship it out BUT that has stopped as of last year due to the contract with UPS and the traffic is has caused.

So the the internal tracking number isn't available for the customers. It's only went for the warehouse to track the package if lost. The customer won't get a tracking number unfortunately.

Two different companies u are comparing to and two different ways of buying. One u buy it with your credit card and Rogers u reserve and only out down a $40 deposit fee which goes back to u when the device ships out or u cancel. U don't pay for the product until it's in ur hands.

@mohsizlakk im in the exact same boat as you unfortunately for the 32GB gold plus model. Out almost $700 and nothing to show and for god knows how long...my contract is about to end on October 3 so if I don't get my phone by then I'm screwed. Already signed up for the 2 year plan with Rogers and got my new number sent to me on a bill and such so there's nothing I can do now but pray it's here before my contract runs out. 😞 just awful and I ordered right at 6am on September 9.

Yep, I ordered at 6 am, and was assured by two Rogers employees that I would have the phone within 5 business days of launch... I would rather be told the truth or not be told anything at all.

They go by a script unfortunately. At the time they gave that information, they most likely didn't know about the backorder of them. If they did, they should have given the proper information.

LOL MY LUCK.
I reserved the 7+ 256gb black at apple.
Picked it up today and I got "hissgate" REALLY BAD. It's buzzing even when the phone is idle. Buzzing (noticeably) with ONLY safari open typing this post.
FML.

that sucks!!!!  Gave my daughter her new 32gig silver+ this morning that I picked up yesterday, and its perfect.  I'll make sure to keep an eye, or in this case, an ear to it....LOL

I'm a corporate account holder and I'm in position #29 for a 7+ Black 256 GB. 

Am I able to upgrade at an Apple store or do I have to wait for my specific corporate office to get it?

The reason I ask this is cause surrounding Apple stores like Fairview, Yorkdale, Sherway and Square one all have stock of the phone I want, but I'm still in "OPEN" status. I want to walk into a store and just upgrade!

 

The wait is killing me, it's been 2 weeks now...

It depends on the apple store. My fiance and I both had reservations through rogers but saw that our local apple store in BC had the phones we wanted in stock so we upgraded through there and cancelled our reservations with rogers. We just called to make sure that the apple store deals with corporate accounts before we headed in. It took them a bit longer than normal and we had to call rogers for some assistance but we walked out with our phones within 45 minutes of our scheduled appointment.

@SKadri that's some useful information. I will consider that. 

The only problem is, I've called Rogers Corporate/Business and they always tell me that I need to deal with my corporate account dealer only, no one else.

 

Which is a bit unsatifying to hear..I have an amazing plan, but this amazing plan is limiting my access to it without having to deal with my guy every time...

Hey guys, I was wondering how long does it take to receive my 40$ reservation refund credited back onto my card? Just out of curiousity, I cancelled my reservation today.

I have finally been able to secure an Apple iPhone 7+ rose gold 32gb phone at Apple Sherway Gardens in Toronto and was wondering if I am able to upgrade my phone like I would do in a Rogers store and would all costs be placed on my next Rogers bill. Would anyone know Apple's process for a carrier upgrade? Unfortunately when I called Apple I spoke to a U.S. Specialist who couldn't exactly answer my carrier upgrade question.

Like any return back to ur CC it can take 1-3 business days. It does another include weekends. Also depends on ur back. It could take longer.

Yes once you do a upgrade at the Apple store, the device cost will be added to ur next month's invoice. So u don't pay upfront costs.

I managed to grab a reservation yesterday from the Apple store in London for a 256 matte black 7+. While it's bigger capacity than I need it's nice to finally have my phone. I'm almost tempted to keep my reservation on the Rogers site just to see how long it would take.

Got the same one myself last night at the London store (7+ 256 matte black) seems like a good upgrade from the 6 I had before. Just need the portraite mode to be released and it'll be even better.

On a side note, I'll be keeping my 7+ jet black reservation for my brother. He'll be making the switch from his old HTC one. Currently in position 48 for the 128gb version.

Also in the same boat. Grabbed a iPhone 7+ 256gb Black and will be keeping my JB reservation, will most likely still swap depending on how long everything takes!

Walked into Best Buy in Kelowna, BC today, walked out with my IPhone 7 Plus.  Good timing I guess.  They received a shipment last night.  That's right, Saturday night.  Got it activated on my Rogers account.  Thanks Best Buy!
