Hey everyone!!

Once again its the time of the year that Apple announces their new iPhone line up. I am happy to announce That Apple this afternoon announced the Apple iPhone 7 / 7 Plus !. The device seem to have amazing specs! Including water resistant and most of all, new cameras and also including new chips and memory!



1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Apple iPhone 7/7 Plus to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; IPhone 7 / 7 Plus in any color and Black and what other colors they may release it on. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

Hey guys

So i was checking the Rogers iPhone page and came across this on the bottom of the page.

" Buy

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are currently on backorder."

Seems to me that this now is showing everyone that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is on backorder for all colors. Yes they may be getting some in but only a small amount.

well, i've now officially cancelled my reservation so anyone with a 7+ matte black 128gb that was 109 or above will go down a spot. i was able to make a mid day reservation via apple at their Markville Mall store. to everyone checking apple's site at 8am, check throughout the day too, someone may cancel their reservation or they may get more stock...i got lucky just before 11am and they had received another very small shipment of phones other than the ones listed at 8am...so keep checking and i hope most of you are able to get your phones soon! enjoy!

I am very disappointed in the way the pre-orders are operated through Rogers. They are unable to provide an estimate as to when the phone will be available.

Rogers doesn't provide an estimate, because they probably don't know either. They are at Apple's will, and there isn't much they can do. Either cancel with Rogers, and go with Apple directly, or just sit back and wait...but if you're going to blame anyone, blame Apple, not Rogers.

As Canamara said, Rogers can not give a ETA or a eastimate on when Apple will deliver more devices. Other carriers are saying 2-6 or 4-6 weeks but what happened if it passes that? Customers complain. So Rogers passed on doing that. Also they do not give dates of any kind until they have a concrete date when they will get more devices and unfortunately Apple doesn't do that. They usually just ship them devices and they will receive them. You have two option at this point. Either wake up super early every day and go on Apple's website around 8am and get one from them or wait it out with Rogers. The choice is yours.

Been slowly doing down in reservation for a 7+ 128 jet black but I couldn't wait anymore.

Managed to reserve a 256gb black 7+ at the London store. Picking up tonight after work. Anybody above spot 49 should move up one or more spots today.

Hello! I've been lurking on this thread since it was started and had reserved through Rogers without movement on either device. My reservation was cancelled and moved because of a discount, blah blah blah (y'all know the story). I just wanted to say that your little tip helped me reserve a phone at Apple this morning, after having tried every day this week. THANK YOU!

 

Hopefully, I won't have any problems at the Apple store because of said discount (Costco) that caused my reservation to be changed queues at Rogers...

Got a reservation in for a 256gb matte black at yorkdale today.
Gonna head to the store earlier and look at the table demos and compare to the jet black. And decide if to wait a few more weeks through Rogers to get my jet black or get that one!

looks like most apple stores in GTA and beyond have i7+ matte black in stock this morning

good to see things are moving but not for jet black... anywhere (cept a couple non-plus'in europe)

Well folks, I finally managed to reserve a iPhone 7 Plus. 256 Matte Black at Sherway Gardens. After watching many YouTube videos about how easily the Jet Black Scratches, I feel I made the wrong choice. Also I think the 256GB is a good choice since the phone does shoot 4K videos which take up a lot of storage space. Once i get the phone in hand, I will cancel my Rogers Pre Order. Ladies and Gents, Thanks for everything. Cheers. 

 

P.S. Here's an article explaining why iPhone 7's are in such short supply. A container ship is held up in port.

How does HUP pricing work? Do I pay the upgrade price at the store? Seems like it would be easier to get through Apple as they have stock available now.

As far as I know upgrading at an Apple Store is just like doing it at a Rogers store. New 2 year term and the rest is charged to your Rogers account and will show on your next bill.

I think I am really screwed.... I am a new rogers customer, so on Sept 9th, I woke up early and called rogers. Set up new services and ordered a iPhone 7+ JB 128gb.... The rep on the phone said everything was set up and I would have it within 5 business days of Sept 16th. My credit card got charged $679 the following Monday.

 

I still dont have my phone, I have no idea where I am on this ordering list (i.e. what number etc.), and have called Rogers multiple times and am being told 6+ weeks. Is anyone else in a similar spot? Or can anyone recommend what I should do?

I am an existing Rogers customer and used their pre-order system.  I'm number 27 Canada-wide, but it doesn't matter.  Rogers has not received ANY 7 Pluses so far.  What I've been told by Rogers is that they are hoping to have a shipment in the next 3-4 weeks.  Apparently there is a huge stock of Apple products stuck on a cargo ship that belongs to a company that just went bankrupt and now can't dock and unload.  Apple is trying to sort it out.  Long story short - when Apple gets phones to fill their own orders, carriers will start to get phones to fill their pre-orders, and you and I will get our phones when it's our turn.  I've heard that October 8th will see the stores stocked with product...

Thats not true.. Rogers has received lots of 7pluses.. They have received stock in every colour, just extremely tiny amount of Jet Blacks which they gave to people who are friends of the higher ups.. I received my rose gold 7+ 128gb on launch day but I was #1.. my #2 jet black 7 plus 128gb is rotting in open state.. I know people who have received jet blacks pluses from rogers.. and apple gets 7 pluses every day in store and has shipped jet blacks to some people who preordered

I played with a jet black plus that one Rogers customer got from his hookups through Rogers.. so I know for a FACT that they received multiple units
