Hey everyone!!

Once again its the time of the year that Apple announces their new iPhone line up. I am happy to announce That Apple this afternoon announced the Apple iPhone 7 / 7 Plus !. The device seem to have amazing specs! Including water resistant and most of all, new cameras and also including new chips and memory!



1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Apple iPhone 7/7 Plus to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; IPhone 7 / 7 Plus in any color and Black and what other colors they may release it on. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

Foxconn manufactured the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.... From the same factory. So don't know where that information came from but it's way wrong. The iPhone 7 Plus like the 6/6S Plus was a huge success and Apple didn't make enough.

They also had issues with the Upgrade program in the US so most of their stock was switched over to that. Long story but read up on that.

Quick question, if I pick up an iPhone for my daughter at the Apple Store instead of Rogers through an upgrade, can I request to not have the SIM card activated? Problem is if they activate it right there on the spot, the iPhone my daughter is currently using will be deactivated, and she will be without a phone all day.

Rogers has always allowed me to do it like that when I pick up a phone for the wife, or daughter, and I normally call Rogers after giving the phone to my daughter to have the SIM card activated. I just want to make sure they can do it for me at the Apple Store as well.

@canamera they should be able to do that without a problem. i did it a couple years back when i got my 6 because i didnt have enough time to do a backup on my 5 before picking up my 6, they just told me to call in once i was ready. plus the sim from her current phone may just be able to transfer into the iphone 7 as well depending on what she currently has.

I'm probably not giving her the phone today either. She's in school all day, then going to work, and I'm taking my son to the Jays/Yankees game tonight, so I'm only surprising her with it tomorrow.

I'm still at a #2 spot for a silver 32gig + at Rogers, but it really doesn't seem like they'll be getting it anytime soon from what I've been reading around, so I reserved one this morning at Yorkdale mall for 12pm pick up. First iPhone in years I've bought without Rogers reservation, I've always used it.

I'll be cancelling my Rogers reservation as soon as I have the one from Apple in my hand, so everyone waiting for a silver 32gig+ will move up in line one spot at around 12:30-1:00pm today.

Wondering how long it will take? Wheni preordered on first preorder date my iphone 7 plus black 128 gb was #706 currently sitting at #414, i also preorder a iphone 7 plus rose gold 128gb and was at #221 now at 86.

I called Apple they told me it was best to order from them directly cause i would likely get it faster because they take care of their customers first. I said arent i an apple customer regardless where it comes from? I was insulted.

I can't blame Rogers for not getting enough phones in, its all on Apple. They clearly did not make enough. However Rogers was telling me that it could take 6 weeks to 3 months for my black one and one to two weeks for the rose gold. I think they must have thought i was talking jet black, but it is the matte black, there is no way being #414 as of today that it would take 6 weeks to 3 months would it?

Your absolutely right!!! It's not Rogers fault at all. They can't sell phones they don't have, Apple is completely taking care of themselves first. Seems really bad this year though, I'm #2 for a silver 32+, and I don't understand how Apple hasn't given Rogers any silver 32+ yet, meanwhile they have them available in their stores. Geeze

I feel bad for everyone waiting here patiently for theirs, especially the ones in the hundreds...who knows when they'll get them

Question - When I try to reserve online with Apple, it's telling me that I need to pay via credit card. I will be a new client of Rogers and was expecting to put in on the tab. How do I proceed? Are the phones from Apple only unlocked?

 

Also, I am number 113 for an iPhone 7+ 128 GB Black and I ordered on launch date an iPhone 7+ 128 GB JB. Rogers already charged me for the phone I ordered via telephone on launch date and said that I will not be receiving it till 6 weeks to 4 months but yet they already charged me for it.

Just picked up my 32 gig silver+ at Yorkdale mall Apple Store, and just cancelled my Rogers reservation, I was #2. Everyone waiting for that phone should jump a spot up now.

Markham and Yorkdale in the Toronto area both briefly had  Matte Black 128GB Plus models.  I wasn't fast enough though.  Getting desperate enough to travel to Markham from dt Toronto if one was to become available.

Had my grubby mitts on a 7+ Matte Black 128gb phone in Apple's reservation system a couple of minutes ago for pickup at Metrotown, and then poof it was gone once I clicked continue to confirm the time chosen to pickup. 

So close and yet so far.  Smiley LOL

 

Still #116 (started at 185) for Jet Black 7+ 128gb on Rogers reservation.

I have a question. Would Rogers automatically cancel my place in line for my JB reservation if I were to do a carrier ugrade in an Apple store? I'm thinking of Silver instead now because of the wait but would like to keep my reservation spot in case I decide I don't like the color and to return it (most likely will end up happening)

 

Also, does anybody know if Apple completely opens up the phone when done through Rogers upgrade or would it be sealed? I would also like to ask them NOT to activate the sim card also.

No you would need to cancel it your self by logging into My Rogers - Products And Services - Device Reservation or fall into Rogers and have them cancel it for u IF they can ( i doubt it).

Yes and no. Originally they are supposed to open the box to make sure the device isn't damaged and if it is they can exchange it for you but you can request the Apple rep not to open it up as let's say it's a gift for someone. They won't if u ask nicely. They won't activate the sim either as long as u tell them.

I managed to reserve a 7 Plus 256 GB Black (Matte) earlier today (12:30 EST) at the Ste-Catherine store in Montreal. I went to pick it up and one of the employees told me they still had one in stock, but the website showed "out of stock". I think it's available right now I just checked. Get it fast, it could be gone by now! I suggest you guys check during the day, they get new phones during the day, and you need to be lightning fast to reserve one in the morning.

 

To help you guys reserving faster on the Apple store, I'll share a tip. When the reservations are about to start in the morning, go on the Apple website to reserve with a carrier. Select a store (Usually, there's always one that's already open for reservations). Select it and choose whichever phone, size, color, etc (It doesn't matter which, because you won't be reserving this one, obviously). Click Next. You will be granted by a login screen (Apple ID, Password) followed by two-step authentication, if you have an iPhone. Login to continue with the "reservation". The final screen should be about confirming time of pickup. When you reach this screen, click away and go back to the phone reservation's initial page (Where you select the store, phone, color, size, etc). From there, just refresh the page until the reservations for your store open. For me, they opened at 8:01AM every morning.  DO NOT close your browser at this point, or you will lose your connection and you will have to login again with your Apple ID - Also, it's possible that the connection drops automatically if you leave your computer logged in to the Apple website for too long. I suggest doing this process 5-10 minutes before the reservations open (It didn't happen to me, but it could happen).

 

By doing this, you won't have to login with your Apple ID at confirmation AND won't have to go through the two-step authentication.

 

It was nice reading through all the replies, and I hope you guys get your iPhones really soon. See you all next year/in two years 🙂

Sounds like Oct 8th there may be a whole lot more inventory available (at least in the Apple stores).  Seems a very large shipment of the phones has been caught up with a bankrupt shipping line, and Apple is making arrangements for their cargo to be offloaded.

Yeah i read that a while ago today. It says " Customers still should reserve online first," we were told. "Just because we'll have stock, doesn't mean that we didn't get cleaned out for the day an hour before you get here.""

So i would pre order and reserve. Seems only Apple will get them

Spoke with a Rogers rep today and apparently my 7+ 32GB Silver should arrive to my selected store in 1-2 weeks. sigh.
