Hey everyone!!

Once again its the time of the year that Apple announces their new iPhone line up. I am happy to announce That Apple this afternoon announced the Apple iPhone 7 / 7 Plus !. The device seem to have amazing specs! Including water resistant and most of all, new cameras and also including new chips and memory!



1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Apple iPhone 7/7 Plus to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; IPhone 7 / 7 Plus in any color and Black and what other colors they may release it on. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

For the ones in the hundred's, I think it's best to reserve on Apple site and pick up from there. Probably be faster even if you check every day. I also had the issue where I was moved to the corporate side, but it was relatively painless for me as I had a position #1 before the switch and was able to pick up my phone on Monday. Playing with my iPhone 7+ 128GB Gold. If I didn't get a deal from Rogers, I would've bought my phone outright and go BOYD plan. Next year, I think best solution is just reserve from Apple and do carrier pickup.

 

I also had another reserve on another account with Telus. They also had issues fulfilling shipment, but they were kind enough to explain the issue and gave me a free UE Roll 2 speaker for the inconvenience. I think Rogers should take note of how other carriers are resolving the issue. Plus, I like the idea of them shipping the phone to me instead of me going to a Rogers store to pick up. This also solves all those issues of whether or not your corporate plan is eligible for upgrade. Just my two cents.

So happy to see your progress !

I was escalated on 9/14 and I received my 128 Black 7+ today. Exactly 1 week from my initial status change to escalated. (I am typing this post on my 7+)

You should have it by this time next week if you live in a major city 👍🏻

Seems like No Black or Jet Black  iPhone 7 Plus anywhere through Apple. If anyone is willing to change their colour preference to Gold, Rose Gold, or even Silver, they can get a iPhone 7 Plus pretty darn quickly

once again, logged in at 8:01am, chose my store, they had 7+ black in 128gb and by the time i put my id and password in, gone! who in the world out there is so darn quick to snatch these up? i even had my id and password saved on my laptop so it would be quicker too!

I finally was able to reserve a 7+ 128gb black from my local Apple store. I have level 0 authorization on my rogers account, was looking to do a hardware upgrade in the Apple store. Is this possible? or do I need the account holder there with me? Thanks

You need to be a level one on the account for more then 90 days to have access to upgrade and change plans. Unfortunately yes you need the account holder in order to do the upgrade.

Can't you log into your Apple ID on Apple's website before 8:00 so when they come live you are already ready to go. Pretty sure that's how I nabbed my 6+ on the day after launch day.

Couldn't wait any longer for the matte black.  Picked up the silver 7+ 32gb yesterday at Apple Fairview mall.  was a quick and easy process.  Keeping my reservation open to see how long it will take to ship. *MAY* exchange the silver for the black.  I am in love with the silver though....

If you did a upgrade at the Apple store, beware that there is a 15 day and 30 minute return policy. Whichever one comes first. So if u go over the 30 minutes of talk time on the iPhone, you can't return it. Just wanted to make that clear IF u did the upgrade.

is going getting a phone from the apple store exactly the same as buying from bestbuy?

for instance when i got my i6+ from bestbuy 2 years ago, i walked in, they had one and they attached it to my account and added the cost to my rogers bill..

 

apparently rogers gives no option to pay on the spot, it needs to be charged to your phone bill..

 

does this apply at the apple store too?

 

or is it different

Yes they will do that as well. No carrier let's u pay upfront. It's all done on the bill now. So u can walk into any Apple store, upgrade ur device without paying at the store. Once the invoice comes out like u know, the charge will be added on that.

@Meowmix thanks for the reminder.  The apple store employee (who was super nice!) mentioned that to me. Well aware.  Avoiding all phone calls right now.  LOL

 

Do you know if there is a limit on data?  i've heard half a GB and Unlimite, so wasn't sure which was correct.

Just an FYI for everyone more than anything. I am still #1 on Rogers Business reservation system for a Jet Black 128GB 7+. No changes in status since very first day. Will update everyone if anything changes.

Just moved up to #50 for a 7+ 256gb JB. Likely a cancellation. Missed a black 256gb 7+ this morning by probably 10 seconds.

Okay guys, I have a question. I found the iPhone I want at a near Apple location, and I have reserved it for pickup after work. Now my question to you guys who know about this, is can I do a hardware upgrade on a 2 year term at the Apple store, or Do I have to buy out the phone and pay the full 1179.00 or whatever it is, and also I am wondering, If I have reserved it for pick up at the apple store, will I be getting it forsure. You can do hardware upgrades at the Apple Store, I did that with my 6S. And yes, if you have it reserved, and you show up at that time, you should be getting it for sure. Only way that doesn't happen is if an employee decides to sell your phone (unlikely, but you never know.)

Yes you can do carrier upgrades at the Apple store without paying full price for the device!. Also yes u can pick it on time but do remember even though they give u a specific time, sometimes they may be late due to them running around
