Hey everyone!!

Once again its the time of the year that Apple announces their new iPhone line up. I am happy to announce That Apple this afternoon announced the Apple iPhone 7 / 7 Plus !. The device seem to have amazing specs! Including water resistant and most of all, new cameras and also including new chips and memory!



1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Apple iPhone 7/7 Plus to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; IPhone 7 / 7 Plus in any color and Black and what other colors they may release it on. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

@jas316 There were tons of Black 7+'s up until 8:05am available but absolutely no Jet Black 7+'s! Maybe some of the 7's were JB but still nothing on the 7+ side...

Still 0 movement on my phones. Just reserved a 128GB gold 7+ for pickup after school today. Called + confirmed my apple store does carrier upgrades, confirmed with Rogers that doing a HUP as an authorised user at the apple store works (and have proof - live chat) so I am good to go.

thanks @orangefreddie! Your story gives hopes to those few of us who are still clinging on. The only reason I'm still with Rogers is because I have an amazing plan (Share Everything 10gb with premium Spotify and roam like home - 40% corporate discount, so comes up to around 65/70$ per month) 

 

Today at 5PM will mark the 48hours deadline I was given. I will keep you posted! Funny enough to say, even though I haven't been escalated yet, I started at position #538 out of 538 when I was "reinstated" in the NRS, and I am now #473 out of 617. That's 65 spots down, and I was initially #57. If only it was done properly I would have properly received my phone by now lol

They can escalate u all they want but bottom line is they DONT have the phone so they will not send it to u.

Pretty safe to say that if our status doesn't change from Open to In Progress today, you will not receive a phone this week.

There was a lot of new stock at the Apple stores this morning, hopefully Rogers got some to.

Also I see Apple released the portrait mode for the 7+ in beta for now. Can't wait.

I went down from 94 to 80 for a 128 gb rose gold 7 plus on the business side and was so excited haha. I do hate the waiting game but I do like the excitement behind it. The status of my black 128 gb plus is unkown since it was a new line activation which sucks but oh well! For now I will live vicariously through the lucky ones that are getting their phones.

i'm really hoping we see some movement today. i was trying to get my hands on a 7+ black 128 via apple this morning, logged in at 8:01am, there was some at Sherway Gardens and Square One...reserved via Sherway, and as soon as i put in my apple id and password, it told me to re-choose a store as Sherway didn't have any left already.... . people with quick fingers!!! (i was doing it all on my phone so a little slower than it would have been with my laptop, but i was at work and nothing else i could do)

i dropped one spot from this morning, probably from a cancellation from all the available phones at the apple stores this morning

question @Meowmix, i noticed some people are saying they are in x spot out of x in total....how do we see that? mine only says 113 and open, it doesn't tell me how many are in total

Did any of you succesfully reserved and got a 7 Plus through Apple's Reserve in stores system? I check all the time and there's never 7 Pluses available, only 7 available

I am currently #117 and #121 for two &+ JB. 

On day of initial reservation I was #159 and #169.

 

Does anyone have even a rough estimate on timeline? Christmas? New Year?

Nobody can say for sure. 

 

I'm #13 in line, and my original expectation was mid-October the earliest. I think Apple will just take care of their stores first. You'll probably have more luck finding one through their reservation system in November.

Well, I thought it would have never happened, but my prayers have been answered. Just received the escalation email exactly 48 hours after the escalation request was done. And now... the second waiting game begins.. 😛

@jeffrey_mtl there was a bunch of 7+'s this morning as soon as the apple system opened...but you had to be super quick to get them. i logged in at 8:01 and by the time i had to put in my apple id and password, all my local stores were out already (im in the GTA)

Can someone please explain to me what having an escalated/prioritized reservation actually means? Waiting on mine to be escalated as well, thanks!

@cy999 if you were one of the those who had their reservation canceled by the system, it means they've put you on a separate priority queue for your order and reinstated your original reservation spot, disregarding the normal queue. @orangefreddie says he had his status changed to finalized 3 days after he was put in the priority queue.
