Hey everyone!!

Once again its the time of the year that Apple announces their new iPhone line up. I am happy to announce That Apple this afternoon announced the Apple iPhone 7 / 7 Plus !. The device seem to have amazing specs! Including water resistant and most of all, new cameras and also including new chips and memory!



1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Apple iPhone 7/7 Plus to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; IPhone 7 / 7 Plus in any color and Black and what other colors they may release it on. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

Lol thats funny.. literally 2 minutes after I hangup with Rogers.. Rogers calls me and says that my i7+ 128GB Black is in their store and awaiting pickup.  They'll hold it for up to a week lol.  WOOHOO!!!

@Th1ef apparently only TWO jet black phones came to Canada and both went to an Apple Store.

Thats not even possible that 2 jet blacks came to Canada there is so much mis information surrounding this I don't believe anything. maybe only 2 came to Rogers but I highly doubt 2 only came to Canada. At this point theres no trusting anyone as EVERYONE is giving different information.

I literally just walked in to a Rogers store this morning at 10am and picked up a 7 128g black with no preorder. There wasn't lots of stock, but also no line up.

Also look at that guy who spent $4000 on 2 phones, in 3 years hes going to look like a goof. Think back to when the Iphone 3G came out and it was AMAZING!!! Look at it now, it will be the same in 3 years with the iPhone 7. What a waste of $4000.

The 7's are around, I stopped at a Rogers store at 10am as well, and they had a few 7's....it's the 7+, and the jet black ones that are the problem.

Well, I have officially ordered my phone through Bell and am joining my parents share everything plan, saving me about $25/month vs what I'm paying now with Rogers, WITH A NEW phone/tab. 

 

After Rogers cancelled my reservation yesterday, I spent all day trying to figure out with Rogers retention what is going on, they asked me to re-reserve (now in 902 position when I was one of the first to order last friday) I have decided to port my phone number over to Bell, as they are offering me $510 in credits, which covers the cost of my new 128gb black phone they are shipping me to my door. 

 

$310 credit up front, $60/month credit for 4 months. 

 

Only difference is their Roam like home is only 100mb/day and I don't think I'll get spotify anymore. 

 

Sorry Rogers, it has been a slice. I'll probably end up going with Bell internet as well to take advantage of the Bell 4k PVR (Rogers still doesn't have a 4k pvr and tells me it will come in 2017 now). 

 

Side note, I had an unlocked i7 128gb I tried selling on kijiji for $1300 with no bites. Just going to sell it to my friend for what I paid, $1166 or something. 

 

My jet black 128gb i7 arrives Wednesday, Sept 20th from Apple, as my tracking says, so I plan to dump that quickly. 

 

Good luck everyone, it has been a lot of fun with @Meowmix over the last 7 years or so. I'm sure i'll be back next year peaking in but hope everyone gets their phone soon.

this is ridiculous, tried calling, cant even find my way to an actual person as rogers is now filled with answering machines left & right, tried online chat "we dont have access to check ur status check online" bla bla.

 

its clear rogers wants nothing to do with customers wanting updates whatsoever, so instead give them the run around with answering machines & cue card like replies. myrogers design/speed/stability is always bad even on a good day, on an iphone launch its a disaster.

 

when ur 2nd place for that model in the entire country on this carrier, the moment reservations come up, & remain there without a single update & still "open" as the launch day walks by. and some how others are getting updates & even their device that were way behind u. theres a problem, a big problem, with this system & rogers is hiding it with answering machines.

 

isnt the point of this to not have u have to wait in a line, instead wait in a virtual line? well i & others are being cut in front of, unamused.

 

and no, theres no updates in my junk email...

 

we sit quiet and wait, nothing is ever fixed like that with companies, whats left for customers to do? complain. remember alot of our contracts are over currently, absolutely nothing stopping us from hopping over to someone who has a working system, with order, with updates, & especially if we start getting offers like large credits to go to them..

It's fine - you know what when the jet black actually does ship I'm going to walk up in that B like I own the place and get my phone regardless - This reservation system is garbage.
