Hey everyone!!

Once again its the time of the year that Apple announces their new iPhone line up. I am happy to announce That Apple this afternoon announced the Apple iPhone 7 / 7 Plus !. The device seem to have amazing specs! Including water resistant and most of all, new cameras and also including new chips and memory!



1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Apple iPhone 7/7 Plus to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; IPhone 7 / 7 Plus in any color and Black and what other colors they may release it on. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

It is possible. The shipments come with either one size or different sizes of GB and color. So it all for ends up on what was given to Rogers by Apple. We have seen this in the past years as well.

Woo my i7+ 128 black is shipped as of 12am, guess the statuses still change this late. I was #12 for reference.

The way you guys are talking is like Rogers is a few guys standing in a room getting a box from fed ex with 10 phones from Apple. "Oh we didn't get any 256gb phones, too bad." Rogers is one of Canada's largest cell providers, I'm sure Apple sent them at least 2-256gb i7 in silver. I really find this hard to wrap my head around. I know the demand is high for these phones, but this seems ridiculous.

I agree..


I know this system has its problems and I understand Rogers can only give what they get but I'm not in the 100s or even 50s not even the 10s. I'm freaking 5. I highly doubt Rogers got versions of all he other models except this one - not even 5 units?

There's definitely something going on in the back end here.... I've been in open status #8 moved to #5 today and still in open. I7 jet black 128

I'm going to be trying my luck at a Rogers store downtown Toronto, we'll see if the stores get any extra units.

My status just changed from In Progress to Shipped! Position was 11 for the iPhone 7+ 128GB Matte Black. Good luck to everyone 🙂

I doubt they are processing by queue either you would think it would make sense that they would send out the first 50 devices per model/device/colour.... Every year this system fails how hard is it to dump these entries into a MySQL database and work down the list in operations / warehousing. Last time it opened 3 hours early and they still couldn't manage to get the #46 out to me and this year they couldn't even get a #8 out the door. What makes matters worse this year is the random cancellations now I'm #5. I just got word from my friend he has confirmed the same phone as me is confirmed ready for him from Bell tomorrow so this proves 100% it is highly unlikely that Rogers got 0!!! Someone at Rogers needs to comment on this as the entire queue is frozen in open status!!!!!

I appreciate this reservation system and I appreciate all the help from the staff and volunteers here but come on this really shouldn't be that hard especially for the people that stayed up all night (me and everyone else) only to not get anything launch day with such a low reservation number (8) what's the point in a reservation system if it auto boots you out for no reason and doesn't even ship out the first 10 devices....

I'm just as disappointed as other JB hopefuls. Woke up at 3am just to find out Rogers was doing a 6am reserve. Went back to sleep, then woke up at 5.30am, waited and was happy to know I reserved an iP7+ JB 128GB with the  #1 spot with hope to get it on launch day.

 

I'm traveling Saturday morning for a week and now i'm not sure if Rogers will hold the phone if it comes while I'm away.

This is crazy we already have confirmations that corp users are getting jet black devices. It looks like we have been screwed over by the corporate clients....

I've already got confirmation that 128 GB iPhone 7+ Jet black is ready for pick up for my friend with bell. we both preordered through our carriers last Friday.....

i seriously dont believe that rogers didnt receive any JB models...like....ANY JET BLACK models. Something is very odd about this;

 

My guess, and i'm being very hopeful, is that the reservation system is just glitched and the actual product is coming to stores and we'll get the call tomorrow.

I was just hoping the same...: but I hate to say it I would assume it would be affecting ALL queues not just the jet blacks on non Corp plans...

Something is going on for sure.....

true, but i'd say that the queue is different for each colour and config. we'll just have to wait till tomorrow (later today).

Got my shipping this evening for my I7+ 128 Matte Black ... checking ups through the hack someone posted earlier .. it has bot been picked up by ups yet, and is being sent UPS Standard ... which means unless the depot is right beside my strore, could very well not be there tomorrow for pick up

go to UPS.com ... click the tracking tab top centre on page ... on left under "Track by Referrence" enter your 10 digit phone number without spaces, change the country to Canada, then track it!

When I do that, it shows a shipment but its a shipment from the apple store with my iphone 7 case i confirmed the tracking #s are the same... nothing else came up... still sitting in open status iphone 7 128g jet black.... spot 5...... fml
