Hey Guys,
Can anyone please confirm the specifics of this promotional wireless plan? I switched to it last night and I got through to a rep this morning after a lengthy wait but they were not able to confirm if the extra 5 gigs stays on after 2 years or not. The website I read had screenshots confirming that the 10 gigs is now a perm feature and does not drop off after 2 years. How can I tell that they added this to my account properly and after 2 years I won't go back to 5 gigs.

Hi,
I tried calling multiple times and couldn't get in. One time I had been on hold for 3+ hrs and then the line got disconnected... on Rogers side.
I think that's reason enough to move to another Carrier. I realize this isn't Roger's fault. They didn't plan for this so I hope they can do something about this.

Thanks Meowmix. I think switching isn't about getting "better service". It's about reacting to a bad experience. Maybe in another year I would switch again. But I have the right to do so.
If it matters, my friend at TELUS waited for 2hrs and got in. Not much better, but compared to 3+ hrs and being disconnected is still a lot better. 3 hours of my time should be considered valuable.

I can't even connect to a hold queue on the phone. Been trying since Saturday and it's always just straight up busy. The stores also said they "can't" do the changes and you have to call in...
At least if I walk into a bell store, they'll give me the time of day. I know the reply on here is more or less 'if you're not willing to wait, then you don't deserve the promo' but how many hours am I suppose to spend to even connect to the wait system?

I'd hope the changes were made, but my past experiences with Rogers have made me distrustful. I'm finally no longer getting a busy signal but there's a 2-3 hour wait. This is ridiculous.

wow that's brutal, it wasn't even a disconnect from my end - the music stopped playing, it was a long pause and then went out. This is after I waited over half an hour in the store yesterday only to be told I couldn't be helped because I have a business account - ridiculous

I do believe so however this plan is only for a NO TERM / NO CONTRACT. Its also available for plans that bring ur own device.
You would need to see as some with contracts have been turned down. You also may have to pay a cancellation fee in order to get this plan.

Its a 5GB plan however they add another 5GB as a bonus.
"5GB+ 5GB Non-shared Plan - $60+ taxes
5GB data bonus is applied immediately at time of activation.
I had a 10GB data package and got another 4GB data for free for 24months. The plan it self showed 10GB but when u go into Rogers - My Rogers - Account number - Manager my add ons OR Check Data it should show there.

It would be great if you could even get through to the automated system, all I get is a busy signal. I don't mind waiting on hold but you can't even get through to get on hold. Bell it is I guess.
