Hey everyone!
As you all remember the whole Internet Rogers and all carries had a amazing deal the $60 for 10GB offer for the BYOD. Just wanted to let everyone know come January 3rd, the $60 10GB BYOD is jumping up to $65 per month as per Rogers.
$5 Small increase but I rather point this out now so many know before hand.
" “We regularly review and adjust our plans to reflect ongoing network and service investments so that we can continue to deliver the best possible customer experience,” said a Rogers spokesperson, in an email to MobileSyrup. “This promotional plan remains one of our most competitive and continues to offer great value.”

Hey Everybody.
There is a link at the bottom of this article to "express your thoughts" into a form with the CRTC for this price plan change.

In the words of our infamous leader,
“You are asking for more than we can give”

You misunderstood. I meant that Rogers was was implying customers were asking for more (i.e. what was promised) than Rogers wanted to give.

I was also told this was a lifelong plan and would never change.
Who exactly told you this? the agent at the store or the agent over the phone who wanted to make commission from you? chances are, reps have been known to say anything even stuff that goes against company policy to make a sale. This happens in ALL 4 wireless carriers in Canada and is not new. I have had countless people lie to me not just from Rogers but other telco companies just to close a sale. I have learned never to trust them 100% as they lie and just want to make a sale to make their commission. I usually go to their official website and find the truth, cus the website is usually more accurate and up to date.

I also had a similiar conversation when we took advantage of the $60/10GB plan.
I've since complained and filed same to the CCTC. I would recommend that other customers do the same.

Rogers rate increases
They are 100% correct.

Furious about your constant rate increases. Every year, you charge and take more and more for truthfully what really?
Thanks Rogers, or is that spelled with an "M" ?

I spoke to someone on the phone, and they simply said that they are increasing the price and sticking to it.
They offered 2 years worth of credit to pay back the $5.00 increase, but will not put the price back to $60.00 as was promised when I signed up.
I even had the phone call recorded, and launched a formal complaint with the crtc & ccts. The person from the Office of the President handling my case from Rogers admitted that they never bothered to listen to it.
Typical.
We REALLY need the CRTC to stop allowing the big 3 to band together and strong arm Canadians.
This bullying and strong arming has to stop!!!

My Talk & Text w/10GB - No Tab has been changed to My Talk & Text w/10GB - Fin 24Mo.
Why the change? Does it mean what I think it means? What will my service/billing be changed to after 24Mo?

Hello, @loki1van
Welcome to the Rogers Community Forums! 😃
I can understand how seeing your plan name change with an end date of 24 months can be confusing especially if you are on a No Tab plan.
Rest assured, you can remain on this plan for as long as you want as long as you don't upgrade to a new device with a new term. Since it is a No Tab plan it is subject to rate increases but you will be notified via Bill message at least 30 days for any change to your monthly service fee.
I hope this helps!

Yeah, the 2 different agents that I spoke to, on 2 separate days, told me the exact same thing. That the plan would remain the same as long as I didn't make any changes to the plan. it would not increase, it would not change at all.
I have both of those phone calls recorded.
Rogers' can claim that it was CSR error, but they were all told to say that and outright knowingly lie to all of us.
It's total and utterly disgusting!!!
Rogers should be ashamed of themselves.
