100 Talk Anytime Minutes

I am interested in the Unlimited Pay as you GO Plan.  Does anyone know if the 100 Anytime Talk minutes is per year or per month?

Thanks

 or

Re: 100 Talk Anytime Minutes

If I'm on the $100 Paygo plan with unlimited texting and add $$ to my account to cover anything over my 100 minutes or roaming, does that balance expire after 30days or is it good for the year?

That plan is good for a year and carries no balance. Anything more you have to pay for.

What does that mean  @OLDYELLR ... you didn't answer @CL4's specific question did you?

What do  you mean it carries no balance ... once you have to start paying for any extra local minutes or whatever doesn't it have to carry a balance ? It won't come out of the $100 but it should still carry a balance.  I know I would expect any funds added to , if unused ,to  be carried as a balance to cover extras for the life of the plan, as in to add a $30 30 day card should last the life of the plan and any remainder at year end should  be transferrable to the next year if you do a second year of a  $100 plan . What Rogers actually does in this regard though,  I have no idea  and I look forward to seeing it explained Smiley LOL

Re: 100 Talk Anytime Minutes

The last time I wanted to renew my basic $100 PayGo plan, I called and asked for the $100  "UNLIMITED Canadian Text Messaging" plan instead. I wanted this because I'd inadvertently given Google my cell number and was getting a deluge of text notifications from Google and Facebook, needlessly depleting my balance. (I later found out how to remove my number.) So after getting the unlimited text deal, she read it back to me and said my balance was zero.  What? Yes, that's how it works, that plan costs $100 each year up front and there's no balance. I decided I wanted my basic plan instead that carries a balance.

for $100 for a year* you get:

  • Unlimited outgoing Canadian text messages
  • Unlimited incoming text messages
  • 100 anytime local calling minutes for the year
  • $0.50/minute for additional anytime local calls
  • $0.50/minute for Canadian and US long distance calls
  • Included services - Voicemail, Call Display, and Call Waiting
  • Plan is valid for 12 months from the day of activation

Re: 100 Talk Anytime Minutes

If you don't carry a balance on your account  how do you pay $.50 a minute for a local call on that plan you mentioned ? I understand that it is $100 flat rate charge for the plan but don't you have to carry a balance in addition to the $100 to cover any costs incurred  that are not included in the plan ???.

Isn't that the difference ...it's just not explained well up front ....(surprise ,surprise).  In the old basic plan the balance is INCLUDED in the $100 plan fee and in the two newest plans a balance has to be carried  in ADDITION to the $100 plan fee .

Re: 100 Talk Anytime Minutes

It's

"100 anytime local calling minutes for the year
$0.50/minute for additional anytime local calls"

So the plan as it stands is good if you make 100 calls or less a year.  I don't know how that gets paid if you don't have a balance, but maybe you can add some balance for that purpose.  Either that, or you get it charged to your credit card on file after you exceed 100 calls. Not sure because I don't have that plan. @CommunityHelps?

The way I read it  that was baisically what @CL4 was   asking. Smiley Happy
