Text not received on iPhone

I am missing some texts from at least 3 different friends.

All 3 friends use different phones and another carrier.

All 3 friends have sent me some texts before and after the missing ones, which have been received normally.

All of these missing texts had been sent more than 24 hours ago.

None of the friends have seen any messages or notifications regarding text failed to receive; I've actually seen the user's screen for myself for 2 of the 3 friends.

What's going on???!!!

If I can't know whether or not I've received a text, having this phone is potentially dangerous for me.

Your best bet is to call into iPhone tech support. Could be an outage in the area. Could be conflicting apps!

Thanks for your post.

However, it can't be an outage issue:  

I've received texts before and after from these people, so there's service before and after.

It appears that the texts were simply lost in the system, and that's very damaging for me.
