okay, its a 3G issue in BC.
we still have 2G
to change it go into settings...
then turn off 3G service..
after a few seconds or minute youll get reception and
see and E, indicatint you have service (albeit slower)
check the 3G service every couple of hours til it returns

Apparently there is an outage affecting the Rogers 3G network for BC. If you go into your phone settings-general-network and switch the 3G off you will be able to use your phone using the 'E' network.
As of 4:50pm this is still not fixed.
I'm glad I found this thread. I thought it was just me! Why wouldn't Rogers post a status report on their webpage, or a recorded message on their support line? It would make it a lot easier for their customers to know what's going on...
In GTA, have horrible reception in the downtown core, Wellington and Simcoe... Seriously considering switching from Rogers. I've been having issues in this area for last couple weeks...
