Re: Iphone 4 and Rogers email accounts

I have the iPhone 5c and have the same problem as to it will not let me add my rogers email to the mail app on the phone.

It does not give me the choice or spot to add the pop so can't do it manually.

Automatically for incoming server it lists imap.mail.yahoo.com

User name is my email

automatically fills in password field

for outgoing mail server it automatically puts in

for host name smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com

user name and password are the same as above

but after trying to verify account I get the error message

Cannot gert mail the username or password for "imap.mail.yahoo.com" is incorrect

But as I mentioned those are filled in automatically.

Any help would be appreciated, simple instructions please, I am new to this type of thing.

I should mention I tried it with a gmail account and that worked well, just not my rogers account

Re: Iphone 4 and Rogers email accounts

I have set up multiple on using the YAHOO entry, and have it work..

If not, you can do it manually.

Under the add new email section, when it gives you all the options for yahoo, outlook, etc, if you choose OTHER, add mail account, then start entering your info, on the following pages, you will be able to enter in the PoP info.

Just remember, if using the PoP, that you need to do the newer settings, with the newer port numbers and SSL enabled on both incoming and outgoing
