Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Apple iPhoneXs / Xr and Xs Max to the reservation list & the day comes follow the steps below to reserve the new device! The devices will include 3 devices, new color options and bigger displays!

How to reserve if you’re an existing customer:

  1. Log in to My Account on Rogers.com

  2. Under Account choose Wireless.

  7. Choose a phone from the Phone Model drop-down.

8. Select a store to pick up your phone.

9. Review the reservation details and click I AGREE to accept the Terms and Conditions.

10. Click Reserve to complete the reservation. A store representative will call you when the device is ready for pick-up.

Online Statuses

Open - Phone has been reserved

In Progress - Phone is in inventory and the order is being processed

Shipped - Phone is on its way to the chosen store

Cancelled - Reservation has been cancelled

Keeping you up posted along the way

  1. You’ll receive the following confirmations:

  2. An email after completing the reservation

  3. Weekly status emails confirming you number in line on the waiting list

  4. An email when the device has been shipped to the store. (Includes a delivery tracking number)

  5. Phone call from a store representative when the device is ready for pick-up

Good things to know

  1. Phone can only be reserved, not purchased ( The purchase of the device will be done in store)

  2. You can change the pick-up location when the online order status is open. If the order status is in progress or shipped, the location cannot be changed

  3. Shipments typically take up 4 days, and your device is held in store for 3 days ( The delivery can be next day in most cases)

  4. If you don’t pick up your phone within 3 days, the reservation will be cancelled and be sold to a walk in customer. You can make alternate arrangements with the store manager if need be.

  5. Only the account holder or an authorized level 1 user (someone authorized to make changes on the account) can pick up the phone. Photo ID is required when picking up the phone.

  6. If a reservation was made to a location that is now closed, We’ll send the device to the closest Rogers store or authorized dealer in the area. The new store will contact you when the device arrives and is ready for pick up.

Reservation Fee

What about this $40 reservation fee? Will it be returned to me?” You betcha. You’ll get a credit of $40 (+ taxes) for the reservation fee on your account if you reserved as an existing customer or to the original credit card if you reserved to activate a new line. Your reservation fee will be credited when:

  1. Your phone ships from our warehouse or

  2. You cancel your reservation online.

Before you go to the store to pick up your new phone, why not get a quote for your old phone and trade it in for a credit!

Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.

.For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confuses about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

They also started last year a pre ordering system done online being charged on your CC ( Credit card) imminently and having the device shipped to your home instead. 2 years ago with the iPhone 7 / 7 Plus and last year with the 8 &8+ with the X the ones that picked this way got it the day of launch or day after launch but only a few did. Not everyone. This way is a good way but sadly u do not see any status updates like u do with the reservation system and only get a confirmation email and a shipment email. ( some did not get any email until the unit got shipped with QMS or UPS). Please do remember. Using the SHIP TO HOME option does NOT give u any insight of updates or status. You will only get notified when it ships out.

now its alot to read at the moment but i am trying to cover all the bases for everyone so everyone knows how the reservation works and what they need to know! as always do not be afraid to ask any question you have as I or any other member will answer it for you. I will do my best and answer all questions Cat Happy

I'm here a lot

Just a quick update. I was originally #91 on queue on september 14, dropped to #87 and finally #83 and last night Status changed to "in progress" as well. I ordered an iphone XS Max 256gb in Space Grey. Ship to store for pickup. @Meowmix You were right. I might actually end up getting it for launch! Thanks again

What’s the benefit of ship to store?

I honestly can’t find one.

- Have to pay for the device when you pick it up
- Have to drive to the store
- Have to wait for probably hours while the activation systems crash
- Have the employee potentially manhandle your new baby

Doesn’t make much sense to me.

Hello @nasa25

Some prefer to deal with a agent face to face and they can set up the phone for them. While yes some don't like having their phones set up by others, others don't mind it and get helpful tips and also the stores do give a small discount on cases or screen protectors when doing a upgrade in store ( it's up to each store managers discretion).

Also a big reason is shipment. If you do ship to home, you have to stay home all day until it arrives. With ship to store, you get a call to go pick it up and you don't waste the whole day waiting around.

Those are the two main reasons

Yeah I get my ship to home automatically redirected to a UPS point to grab at my leisure and also like setting it up myself.

But you make valid points. After the Rogers rep destroyed the sim tray on my gf’s iPhone 8 last year I’ll never do ship to store again (except for the watch that doesn’t give the ship to home option and will be a sight to behold come Friday in store activations)

Hello @nasa25

Yeah it all depends on the experience with past upgrades in store. With Telus I did my pre order and only option was ship to home. Shoes ship date Sept 20th. So I took Friday off to go to Telus store and pick up the watch early morning and then stay home and do some front yard work while waiting for the phone to come in. Rogers is the only one that does ship to store pre orders.

All in all, it's up to each person on how they want to go about doing the upgrade / pre order. Some don't wait to wait all day and want to do other things or work. Some don't mind waiting all day for the phone.

Remember UPS goes on its own time. So they have until 7pm to deliver the phone to you. Even at a UPS waypoint. I did that with a Cat (work shoes) even picking the UPS store for pick up, it was dropped off at 4pm. So waiting around all day was unnecessary for me.

I plan to stick around

I have a small business account and am 1 of 102 for the XS Max Gold 256GB (status still says Open) - is there a chance I will get it Friday or does the fact that I have a small business account cancel that out for me?

Hello @impmarion

It could change however as I mentioned a couple times that most of the times the business pre orders get shipped out after launch

Has anyone who selected the option to have the phone shipped to home address received any confirmation of shipping ?
Thanks

Hello @Sam12345

Shipments for Ship to home won't happen until late tomorrow / Friday as I explained.

I've been here awhile

Is it odd that I'm in Position 1 for the Xs Max 256GB Silver and my status is still OPEN?  I thought it was weird since others are changing to IN PROGRESS that are further down the line.  Does it have anything to do with location?

@nasa25 Hi Nasa, I had to do a pickup in store due to being under a corporate plan. In order for me to remain under coprorate plan, I would have to order it for pickup specifically at their location otherwise, I would end up being under retail plans.

Hello @nagagity1

Unfortunately no one can help you since no one here works for the warehouse. It could be that ur still suck because they may not have enough devices.

so what does position #42 actually mean?  I have friends that pre-ordered the exact same phone at a later time but already got emails that the order is "in progress"....

shipped to the same store that i chose

Hello @nagagity1

Same color and Device?. If so then it could be a glitch in the system and urs could have been shipped just not entered. It's happened before.

The number is Canada wide.

@Jayhoe just make sure the rep doesn't manhandle your new toy lol

@nasa25 Lol! Thank you for the reminder, I will definitely make sure of that. Otherwise, I'll request to activate and set it up myself.

I may be stating the obvious. The only way I was able to see any change in status from “Open” to “in progress”. Was yo use the link at the bottom of the initial preorder email. This link took me to the reservation page where indeed I saw the change in status. I have not received an email or text from Rogers related to this update and assume I will revive one upon notice of shipping.

Hello @Timcooper

It could also be a glitch in the system from doing so.. I know this has happened before..

Not sure if it's been asked before and it's been a while since I've done the in-store upgrade.  Does the cost of the phone go on your next month's invoice or does it get paid upfront, in-store?
