"I'm going to change my plan today, which works well as my billing cycle ends tomorrow."
Awesome! By the way, you can also have Rogers make the plan change effective on your bill cycle. If you do this you'll avoid proration. There's nothing wrong with proration, but it keeps the bill looking more simple.
"I'm #4 on list for 64GB Space Grey iPhone 6 Plus.... I may not need it... Is it possible to give my spot to a friend instead of cancelling it? "
Yes, but you'll need to be with them with Photo ID when you come grab the device. If you can't be there with them, you'll want to discuss making an exception for you with the Store Manager. It's best to do this when once your device comes in.
Ignore my post here! lol MY response was wrong! DOH!
It's in your rogers account. If you recived confirmation email then click on the Rogers.com link in grey box on right side. It will take you to that page.
If I understand your question correctly, unfortunately any actively preformed on your account in store requires the account holder or level 1 user to be present in store with Photo ID. Only call centers have the tools to make these kind of requests, but would require the device be mailed out to you instead. I'm definitely looking forward to when doing something like this for customers would be possible as it would certainly be handy. I've sorry for the inconvenience.
But we certainly wouldn't mind you bringing your kids down to our store. Hopefully your young ones don't mind a busy enviroment. You can also request to the rep that you unbox the device instead of them. I perosnally wouldn't have an issue with that.
