Hey Everyone!

Welcome back to my annual Apple iPhone Reservation thread! Once again its the time of the year that Apple will announce their new iPhone line up. Once they do, Rogers will Open up their reservations for the phones!

How you will reserve if you’re an existing customer:
Log in to My Account on Rogers.com
Under Account choose Wireless.
Go to Manage My Device at the bottom of the page.
Click Upgrade My Device.
Choose The new Apple iPhone ( which ever model you want) as a “ Pre order”
Pick either Ship To Home or Ship To store (Device Reservation)
Choose a phone from the Phone Model drop-down.
Only phones that can be reserved will appear.

7. Review the account information next to your selection.
The email address must be auto-populated in the right section of the reservation form. Otherwise, you can’t reserve a device.
If the email is not auto-populated, first add the email address in the appropriate field of your My Account profile. Then, log out and log back in.
8. Select a store to pick up your phone.
9. Review the reservation details and click I AGREE to accept the Terms and Conditions.
10. Click Reserve to complete the reservation. A store representative will call you when the device is ready for pick-up.

How to reserve if you’re a new customer
Go to https://www.rogers.com/web/link/DeviceReservation?forwardTo=nrsRegisteredCustomer
Click Sign Up and enter your email address. ( It may tell you to also input all your info again.)
Under Phone Information, choose the device you want to reserve, and click Continue. Only devices available for reservation will appear.
Fill out the form under Personal Details and click Continue.
Fill out the Payment Details for the refundable $40 reservation fee and click Continue.
Select a store for device pick-up and click Continue.
Review the reservation details and click I AGREE to accept the Terms and Conditions.
Click Reserve to complete the reservation. A store representative will call you when the device is ready for pick-up.

Online Statuses
Open - Phone has been reserved
In Progress - Phone is in inventory and the order is being processed
Shipped - Phone is on its way to the chosen store
Cancelled - Reservation has been cancelled

Keeping you up posted along the way
You’ll receive the following confirmations:
An email after completing the reservation
Weekly status emails confirming you number in line on the waiting list
An email when the device has been shipped to the store. (Includes a delivery tracking number)
Phone call from a store representative when the device is ready for pick-up

Good things to know
Phone can only be reserved, not purchased ( The purchase of the device will be done in store)
You can change the pick-up location when the online order status is open. If the order status is in progress or shipped, the location cannot be changed
Shipments typically take up 4 days, and your device is held in store for 3 days ( The delivery can be next day in most cases)
If you don’t pick up your phone within 3 days, the reservation will be cancelled and be sold to a walk in customer. You can make alternate arrangements with the store manager if need be.
Only the account holder or an authorized level 1 user (someone authorized to make changes on the account) can pick up the phone. Photo ID is required when picking up the phone.
If a reservation was made to a location that is now closed, We’ll send the device to the closest Rogers store or authorized dealer in the area. The new store will contact you when the device arrives and is ready for pick up.

Reservation Fee
“What about this $40 reservation fee? Will it be returned to me?” You betcha. You’ll get a credit of $40 (+ taxes) for the reservation fee on your account if you reserved as an existing customer or to the original credit card if you reserved to activate a new line. Your reservation fee will be credited when:
Your phone ships from our warehouse or
You cancel your reservation online.
Before you go to the store to pick up your new phone, why not get a quote for your old phone and trade it in for a credit!

Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.
.For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confuses about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

They also started a pre ordering system done online being charged on your CC ( Credit card) imminently and having the device shipped to your home instead. 4 years ago with the iPhone 7 / 7 Plus and last year with the 8 &8+ with the X the ones that picked this way got it the day of launch or day after launch but only a few did. Not everyone. This way is a good way but sadly u do not see any status updates like u do with the reservation system and only get a confirmation email and a shipment email. ( some did not get any email until the unit got shipped with QMS or UPS). Please do remember. Using the SHIP TO HOME option does NOT give u any insight of updates or status. You will only get notified when it ships out.

i now its alot to read at the moment but i am trying to cover all the bases for everyone so everyone knows how the reservation works and what they need to know! as always do not be afraid to ask any question you have as I or any other member will answer it for you. I will do my best and answer all questions 😀

Did a plan upgrade two days ago since I couldn’t keep the 30% corporate discount,
Here is the cost break down over two years based on Rogers outright purchase price
for the 512 GB 11 pro with protection plan to protect the up front discount over 2 years
Up front payment with tax $494
Cost difference of plan upgrade and protection plan per month 31.xx also got 3GB / month more then old plan just to be accurate .
If I keep the phone after two years have to pay the upfront discount 570 tax in
Savings from m the outright purchase $ 575
Note that Rogers price is $50 more than apple $1858 before tax
These are close to accurate figures , hope it will help someone to decide.
I must say historically the total subsidy for a3year term ‘ all of my previous contracts were 3 years ‘ were about $ 750-850
That means Rogers new CEO is doing a very good job Hope that will reflect on continued network reliability going to 5G hopefully in a year or two .

wondering if someone can help me.

Currently have 1 month left to pay off my iPhone x (30$ left)

I have a corporate plan (30% off share everything plan) and have 23 gb data for about 80$.

I want to upgrade to the new iPhone 11 Pro 64gb and keep my existing plan, is this possible?

Re: Apple iPhone 11 / 11 Pro Questions / Reservation

Does anyone know if you can pre-order for a business account? I just spent about 30 minutes on the phone with a Business sales person, and when it came to pre-order, he finally said "actually, the system isn't letting me do this, you will just have to wait until they come into store, you will probably get one before Christmas".

When I try and login  to the pre-order site, my login jumps me over to the business site which doesn't seem to work or have pre-order ability.

Not sure why Rogers treats business customers as second class.

Hello everyone,

I have an iPhone 8 which I still have a balance owing on but I’m considering upgrading to an iPhone 11. Let’s say the trade in value is $325 and I owe $425, is it possible to trade in the iPhone 8 and pay the $100 difference and then do the upgrade?

Any help you can give us great. There seems to be conflicting opinions on whether or not this is possible.

Thanks,

Mike

That should work as it did for me last year, do a pre-order to picked up at  a Roger store, while picking up the phone , first thing if possible update your plan even by adding a feature that you may cancel later , the idea is to kick in a current calculation of owed amount especially if your at the end of the bill cycle , that should save you $ 20-30 it depend on the level of subsidy that you got when you had the iPhone 8.

then process sale of the iPhone 8 and the new phone.

Thanks! Figured it should work but though I would see if anyone else has done it. You never know what rules might be there to prevent it.

Good afternoon !

I am wondering which option makes the most sense.

1. 64.75$ for infinite plan + financing the device
2. 74.75 10gb share everything plan + 590 for iPhone pro max
3. $104 for infinite plan + 590 for the device

I have a corporate discount on the second plan which brings it down that low.

Which would y’all go for or recommend?

#2. Subsidized price for the phone, and a corporate discount on your plan. That’s getting the best of both worlds.

Going all the way with a Pro Max 512 (green) this time.  I'm too lazy to clean out my camera roll - LOL.  My husband and I both got on the top 100 when we reserved on Day 1 (thanks to the later reservation time), so it could mean we're getting our phones on launch day (for the first time, like, ever.  Okay, maybe not ever - I got a phone on launch day for my 5.  Praying I won't break it this time.  Yeah, I broke my very first iPhone.  I was very lucky to get a replacement phone a few days later (from an Apple Store).  They didn't even charge me full price - cost me about $100, which was the price of a 3GS at the time).  This was 2012.

Thanks for running this iPhone thread again meowmix

I was just told there's no way I can upgrade any of my phone lines (3 lines on share everything, 2 on ultra tabs, 1 on premium plus tab) without changing all my lines to an in market infinite plan.  LOL.  That's not happening.

Anyone else on a share everything plan told they have to switch in order to get a subsidy?

Hi @nasa25,

I'm in the same situation of you about my old plan. I talked today with someone of the Rogers Customer Service in the MSD department.

It's possible to continue our Share Everything plan (for MSD clients at least), but the name will change for "LaVoix30" or "LaVoix40" (sorry, I only have the name in French). When you will sign the contract, the agent will be able to select this plan for your contract.

I also saw on the forum that some people was wondering how it's work when you have a MSD discount of 30%. In my case, the guy gave me a new "jeton" or passcode (in English). You need to call Rogers and ask for MSD department. Tell them that you're looking to sign a new contrat and you need a new passcode and they will verify that you're still working for the company and after this send you a new passcode by email (available for next 30 days). You need to give this passcode to the agent when you will prepare the new contract.

Hope I received all the good information.

I will see this Friday morning!

NB : Since recently, it's possible to have the Infinite plan with a business discount (MSD)!
However, it will be only 10% off.

If you still want the 30% discount, you need to stay with the Share Everything / LaVoie plan.

Have a good day

Jo
