ZTE WF723 Cellular Home Phone

My cellular Home phone service needs an upgraded ZTE WF723. Rogers will give this free but wants to charge $20 -double my current monthly rate. Can I buy the box outright and keep my current plan? Several years ago this  Forum stated you can purchase from Rogers the ZTE Wireless Home Phone WF723 outright for $65 plus tax.

You shouldn't need to pay for the device as it is an exchange for a 3G. If you are a new customers you have to purchace the box. $75 , plus your normal monthly fee for using the line.
