Re: Samsung Galaxy S2

Is rogers having a problem with their site?  I just tried to see if my #/Status on the waitlist had changed...and it only shows what I can reserve..ie; the razr?  Could be that the server is overloaded, or they have removed the SG2 from the system and just letting those that had reserved wait for the e-mail?

Re: Samsung Galaxy S2

Spoke to a Rogers Plus Rep locayed in Downtowne Toronto at the First Canadian Place and she said they haven't released them yet and they won't for at least another month. I think Rogers just released he first 10 GST2Lte's just to beat out Telus to be the first Lte Smart Phone provider. Rogers can now go back and focus on the iPhone 4GS sales and getting rid of their old stock.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S2

The image from Rogers Redboard (http://redboard.rogers.com/2011/samsung-galaxy-s-ii-lte-smartphone-to-ship-as-early-as-next-week/) looks like a Samsung Galaxy S2 X. It's quite different from what is advertised in Korea (http://www.samsung.com/sec/).  If they are making different versions of the Galaxy S2 LTE, the North America version is not pretty - or maybe that photo with the guy holding the Rogers Galaxy S2 LTE isn't the actual product.  I would much prefer the one advertised in Asia.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S2

That's the old Nexus S not the Galaxy Nexus. Two completely different phones.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S2

Why do people even listen to these store reps? They're all clueless and have been misquoting dates on their phones for years. Anyways, on RedBoard the VP of Social Media says "as early as next week" for them to release more.

Also, doesn't anyone back read? This thread is so chaotic. All the info is here but people are pulling things out of thin air.

Jimmyjo is right on the money!!  I'd bet that as soon as you asked them if you could quote them, aksed for their name or stuck a microphone in front of these "reps" they would all start to stutter, turn red, become Mute, or run away..  Believe what you see!

The 4" screen zize would be a big clue that this is NOT the phone in question.  Way to many phones with similar names, that are not remotly close to what is being discussed, and waited for.  I suppopse it's one way to get rid of old stock or try to be competative when you (the carrier) can't get their hands on what people really want....One born every minute...
