Hey everyone!!

Once again its the time of the year that Samsung announces their new Note line up. I am happy to announce that Samsung this afternoon announced the Samsung Galaxy Note 7!. The device seem to have amazing specs! Including memory SD card slot, water resistant and most of all, curved screens on both side for the Note Series and Iris scanner!



1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; Samsung Note 7 Black and what other colors they may release it on. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

All things happen for a reason...... We now have a use for "Note 6" while still keeping the series in line with the galaxy series numbering. 7 will be known only as the failed attempt. Note 6 will be the current model and next year will be the Note 8.

I was just told by the mobilepromos supoort staff that they are not going to process my preorder gift because my phone wasn't preordered (I preordered the phone but picked it up in store as opposed to waiting for the preorder) and the imei isn't on record for preorder....but my phone NEVER came in before the recall happened. So i'm trying to figure out who to talk to to get a actual answer to this as the imei on the phone (when rogers gets it anyway) won't even match the preordered one.

You just said you pre ordered it but didn't wait for that one to come and th s you went to the store and picked one up. This makes sense why they won't ship u a gift as it wasn't a pre order.. Nothing can be done. The only way to get the pre order gift is if u received the pre order device and then did the application for the free gift.

It was never confirmed or announced by Samsung that the ones that didn't pre order will get the bonus. Some of us said it MIGHT work. I posted saying my gf got a reply back saying she will get it but got a phone call a couple of days later and was told she wouldn't because she never got it pre ordered. Same as someone I know at work. You could register but it seems like the ones that didn't pre order an registered won't get it. Now i could be wrong BUT seeing as she got a call saying should wouldn't get it, u got told the same and same with others, ita safe to say it won't happen unless Samsung somehow let's It go.

@Meowmix How come no one ever stated that? i ended up buying it in store BECAUSE someone had said a samsung rep told them it would work.

Now the other side of the coin is that rogers called me the day before the recall to say it arrived, but the day after the recall happpened so i couldn't pick it up if i wanted to (exchange it)

I did say that the Samsung rep told me the same but i also said it "MIGHT" on few posts my self and ended saying my gf applied for hers and let's see what happens. Again you should know that unless Samsung or a manufacturer says anything, take it with a grain of salt unless there is hard proof of it. Reps are always either right or wrong. Depends on each one.

Yeah that was me. I had previously ordered the phone and was #7 for the silver one. Now when I showed up on the 19th they hadn't received it so I bought the phone outright. There was a Samsung rep they confirmed I should be able to get the free gift. I had the proof of my preorder and the proof of purchase. I don't know why it wouldn't have worked. Got my Samsung level 2 weeks later.

Who knows but as long as you got the same color of the device you pre ordered as u said there shouldn't be a problem but again I don't know. This is something that Samsung and the promotion team handles.

I got a credit of 250 from them on my account...so if i really wanted i can buy the thing off of kijiji or otherwise.

All in, I'm only paying rogers 116 for the phone which is pretty sweet lol

I registered with Samsung last week for my replacement device but I still haven't received any further communication from them as promised. They said 48 hours...

As for the Rogers service message... I have received no such thing. I find It sad that if Rogers is going to take the initiative to send these messages to affected customers that they don't send it to ALL affected customers... Personally, I follow tech news closely, so I am well informed, however not everyone is.

Also the front page of the Rogers site bugs me. They make you click the link for "anything else" before you can navigate anywhere.. . The navigation doesn't work, the links from this form to login to your Rogers account takes you to this page as well... And NO. I don't wish to pre-order an iPhone 7... Why not post information about this recall on the front page? The marketing hype for the iPhone ramps up another notch every year but this is frankly ridiculous and a disservice to Rogers customers IMHO...

Some have not received the emails from Samsung due to them now holding off due to health canada getting involved.

As for Rogers, seems there that the system auto sends them to the accounts which upgrade to the Note 7. Seems like some as well haven't received those texts as well.

I was also told 12 and then 15; haven't heard anything about the 19th. And I agree with the earlier post about having to log in every time you want to post on this site. It's annoying. Any way to avoid that.

I got e-mail and said the shipping date will be as early as Sep15....I called samsung and they transferred me 3 times and I talked to 3 departments and no one knows anything. All they said is they don't have information when it will be shipped and ask me to wait for the email with tracking number.  this is important information to customer about the shipping date, but surprisingly, no one knows when I called and asked.... disappointed..really.
