Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Reservation numbers / Questions

Hey everyone!!

Once again its the time of the year that Samsung announces their new Note line up. I am happy to announce that Samsung this afternoon announced the Samsung Galaxy Note 7!. The device seem to have amazing specs! Including memory SD card slot, water resistant and most of all, curved screens on both side for the Note Series and Iris scanner!

1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; Samsung Note 7 Black and what other colors they may release it on. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.

2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.

3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

Let's make this thread the only thread for the devices please and if you guys have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me and I'll gladly be able to help:)

So I'm in the Rogers store now and I'm being told that they won't offer any refunds, only an exchange. The guy on the other end of the phone told the Rogers employee that since the charge icon green it is one of the safe ones. ... Unbelievable.

Hello @hdresden

Makes no sense as this is not written anywhere. Seems to me once again nothing has been tacked down and given to them. I want to know what the stores are doing this. Unacceptable.

In defense of the store employees they are escalating it up the chain and seem to want to help. I'm now waiting for someone from Rogers to call me personally. I'm not asking for cash, or even the subsidized part of my last 2 bills back. Refund my purchase price back and I'll come in when the pixel is available and buy one.

Well thank goodness I havent returned my 1st note7 (matching IMEI to my Rogers account). This way I'll hang on to the green battery one so i can data transfer to my pixel when it arrives, then I'll mail back that one.

I am going to return it in a sec here for a full refund, wish me luck!

I would have thought a Corporate Rogers manager could help but the store wouldn't even listen to him either. I feel really hopeless right about now.

I called Samsungs Note 7 recall department and escalated the situation again. This agent was much more sympathetic and he could not believe the tactics being used by Rogers to prevent the returns. They Really do not care and the consumers are at their mercy to fulfill the recalls and they know it and treating us with indifference.

I think the stores are so reluctant because they don't care about customer service. They don't see a great importance in keeping the existing consumer base happy. It seems like the only incentive on the retail stores is to sell devices and that's why they don't want to refund you.

No satisfaction. They told me and I'm not joking... Try best buy, they might be able to process it for you. ..

In and out in 5 mins with a credit in my account for the pixel xl!

I haven't returned my note 7 yet and i just got a pop up on my phone saying:

"Important Notice for Samsung Note7 Device Owners

As a recalled product, it is mandatory that all Note 7 original and replacement devices be returned. They may not be sold or given away. Please power down and bring all Note7 devices, to your original point of purchase and:

.Recieve a $100 credit* for customers who exchange their Note7s for a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge.

.Recieve a $25 credit* for customers who exchange their Note7s for a refund or other smartphone.

*Details specific to each Carrier and Retail partner. For Note7 return inquiries, call 1-855-747-6520."

Sorry if it's been posted already but thought I'd share.

My return was a bit rough but it all worked out. Got the s7 edge and my 209$ credit on Wednesday night. I see a lot of people having issues and I don't see any distinction being made. There are Rogers plus stores, Rogers stores and Rogers autorised dealers. Mine is a Rogers plus store so I had no issues. Im guessing the ones having issues purchased their devices from authorized dealers which are technically not Rogers owned. I just think the distinction needs to be addressed.

I received my original one from a Rogers Plus store.  I now have it and the replacement.  Of course, I already used the earphones and cannot return them.  Is it mandatory to return all packaging/accessories?  I have the box sent with the replacement which only seems to require the phone. I am haggling over whether to get my money back or get an s7 Edge.  Nothing else on Rogers has caught my eye.  The Pixel XL is not yet available so I don't think they will let me exchange for that.  I am really hoping they come with a Note 8 next year.  In the meantime, I need something to tide me over and its either s7e or GPXL.  I do have my reciepts from the original, but no packaging for accessories as I do not like to keep junk laying around.

Hello @5five5

Explain that u used the headphones and or u lost them. The store should accept that as the headphones don't get returned back for hygiene purposes.

Your experience will vary from store to store. Some are able to help and others are unwilling or unable.... I'd suggest packing up everything and not give any excuses. Scrub the earwax out of those headphones and put em in the box, tell em they are new unused.

I purchased from a legitimite Rogers plus store and not a third party agent store. Rogers is not processing these recalls at store level as recalls and that's why im having an issue. They want all packaging and accessories basically all stipulations of the buyers remorse policy met.

Hello @hdresden

The problem with doing that is the reps aren't stupid and know what they are looking at. The Headphone causing is sealed with the headphones being unused. You can not make them look to wait they looked like and seal them. So the reps will know he is lying. So best solution is either keeping them and explaining to them he lost them OR give them back used with wax on which they most like will not take back.

There's no harm in trying to return without earphones but in case you're denied, I would take them with you in case they demand them returned. I think your bigger issue will be that you don't have the box. The Rogers store I'm dealing with said absolutely no return without the box.

Could you let me know if you are successful in returning without the earphones and box and which store did it for You?

So it seems that Rogers has the terms played out on there website it also states what phones can be exchanged for.

Hello @dale2

Yes but they failed to see that the iPhone 7 Plus 32GB isn't compatible to the Note 7 which is 64GB. So they should edit that with the 128GB.

Also the ones that got the 128GB or the 256GB still get it as it never showed a GB model until today.
