Rogers Email Delay/Sync

Hi there. I recently switched from an iPhone to an Android. I noticed that even though my settings for my Rogers email are set to be checked every 15 mins, that's not the case. Emails from hours ago are not pulled up until I manually refresh my email. This was never the case on my iPhone. Basically, while my phone is idle, I do not get any emails sent to me unless I go in and manually check it. Is there a reason for this?

Have you tried changing the frequency to 5, 30 or anything else?  Check to see if that helps with pulling the email, or even possibly removing the account and re adding it again.  Not sure if anyone else has any other suggestions.
