Re: Over the air FM radio on Samsung Galaxy Note 4, 5

I just came across this nice article regarding FM radio this morning. Have a look. http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/fm-radio-cellphone-telecoms-1.3577447

Canadian campaign has already started!

Anyone who does care about having free FM radio on it’s phone can take action and support this compain. Please do. Each voice matters.

Rogers, please get FM radio enabled on our phones!

I think Rogers need pressure from customers for this issue. Please call or share a concern with Rogers saying that we need FM radio for emergency information and safety. Here are from http://freeradioonmyphone.ca

Hi! I am a current Rogers customer. Please unlock the FM chip in all smartphones you sell so I can get important emergency information when data networks are unavailable and reduce the amount of data I use each month.

Thank you.

Re: Over the air FM radio on Samsung Galaxy Note 4, 5

Something doesn't smell right here! I work 60% of my time in the US even though I live in Canada. I buy my phones from AT&T and then unlock them and use Rogers when in Canada. I have the S7 Edge from AT&T and the Radio is enabled. I listen to it every single day! When Roger said they need Samsung to enable it, all they have to do is ask which they probably haven't done yet. Do you know how much this would cost them if everyone listened to FM Radio instead of over the internet Radio?! I think their is probably a bit of greed factor in their somewhere.
