So I bought an S5 yesterday at Rogers and I only ever get one bar anywhere I am in Halifax. Does rogers just not have good cell service or is there something wrong? Also just using Facebook my new S5 has gone down 10% in battery in 15 minutes.

I have a few questions for you so we can try and help you out.
The bars can vary on different devices as they all use different images to convey the signal level.
LTE is meant for high-speed data only which can tend to have less bars but provides faster internet speeds which can also result in higher battery consumption.
Smartphones drop to 3G/4G during calls which have a stronger range(more bars).

They will be able to have a look into your device and it's settings as well.
