@Tymon22

You have to get it off the french LG site here http://www.lg.com/fr/support/pc-suite

These are the options I chose, worked flawlessly.

Re: LG G3 Marshmallow

I should have mentioned even though the picture I posted above, from the LG website, says D855. This isn't as issue, the software automatically detects your phone and will download the appropriate version.

Re: LG G3 Marshmallow

Got the update OTA last night, after having the manual update queued.

Download was 770MB or so.

Lots of really nice goodies in there, but one *big* issue for me.  McAfee virus protection has been auto-installed, and is not removable or even stoppable.   The very first notification I got was from McAfee saying my Wear device had been disconnected.

I absolutely do not want this software on my phone. There was absolutely no mention of it in the version notes, or any EULA or agreement presented with regard to this software during the OS upgrade.

Did everyone else who's run the update also get this garbage installed?

Re: LG G3 Marshmallow

Hello @DrewLazz

This is something most manufactures add. It's not a carrier bloatware either.

I had it on my Galaxy S6 and Note 5. Note 5 was factory unlocked as i bought it straight from Samsung.

Have u tried to contact LG Canada and see?

I got that bloatware along with others. Here is a good tutorial on how to disable/remove bloatware without root.

You seem to be right, apparently LG and McAfee have a partnership. How dreadful.

Hello @DrewLazz

Exactly!. Some have promotions like that and some don't. Seems like LG does
