How to enable Wifi Calling on Non-Rogers devices

Santhoshkptm
I'm here a lot

I recently bought a Samsung A53 device from Mart. Tried a few times to enable the WiFi Calling option but was getting error like Not eligible, contact 611. Understood from the Customer Care that non-Rogers devices are not eligible for WiFi Calling option. Why is that and is there any way to enable WiFi Calling on my phone.

Hello @Santhoshkptm,

Thanks for your post! 🙂

Unfortunately, it is true that if you have a non-Rogers Android device, WiFi Calling will not work and there isn't a way around it as far as I'm aware. Sorry for any disappointment.

Kind regards,

RogersYasmine

I would be interested in trying this.  Rogers, just like Bell and Telus only attempt to block WiFi Calling and other features from working to push customers into buying over priced devices from them.

Ummm. Being aware of the way mentioned but not necessarily being necessary. I had WiFi Calling working normally on my TMB U s23 Ultra that is running the U1 firmware before entering the Android 14/One UI 6 beta. For some reason, the beta update forced me to try and re-register for WiFi Calling, which gave me an error. As of beta 7 and also reaching out to Rogers about the issue. I have WiFi Calling working on my TMB U s23 Ultra running the U1 firmware. Definitely happy to see whatever the issue was, now seems resolved. If I had to guess. I would say that it was more than likely the WiFi Calling provisioning not being available for Android 14 until recently with the launch of the Pixel 8 devices.

It is also a good idea to add the imei of the device to your cell account.  When registering IMS Services, It helps with the registration process when the serial number matches.
