Hey guys!

Google just announced the Google Pixel and Pixel XL! Great phones with great features! Let's discuss more here!

1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Google Pixel and Pixel XL to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; Google Pixel and Pixel XL Black and what other colors they may release it on. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

Well it sounds like the issue isn't shortage, as I was supposed to be the first person to get the black pixel XL on th reservation list. The issue is that they don't have them at all, unlike other carriers. Maybe it's time to switch carriers then if Rogers cannot provide the same service/products?

Funny I'm waiting for the same: Pixel XL 128 GB Silver.... and I'm still stuck at 88. Hasn't moved a bit.

Switching carriers won't make a difference and that's something many are failing to see. Yeah okay you switch tk other carriers to get the device. What happens when they have the same issues or similar? What then? You will switch to another one because of it?.

Even Best Buy doesn't have the silver and only Telus does but they are still short oh them as well. Went to 3 Telus stores just to check out and none of them in the downtown core of Toronto has any and haven't received any. Only the 32GB models they have and a demo XL.

That is the whole premise of a competitive market. Other carriers have a product (the pixel XL), that their customers are receiving. Rogers is failing to provide that product to their customers. So yes, as a consumer I have the right to take my business to the company than is able to provide the products and services I want. This isn't communist Russia.

No one said that but Goodluck with the next carrier you will go at. Make sure you research before you jump. Many have regretted it. But again Goodluck.

Actually if you go through alot, Rogers isn't failing to give heir customers the product. They failed at communicating the reason behind the long process but the ONLY carrier which is offering what most are waiting for here, doesn't have it as well. Also they have a wait time of 2-3 weeks. Even Google does.

Anyways Goodluck finding the carrier u want:)

So, I paid $679.99+taxes on my cc, I have yet to recieve any info or updates other than a thank you, we've successfully taken your money. Anyway, tonight I thought I'd do the pay later option and upgrade my line. Plan was to add a line for the earlier charges. So yes, I was ableto reserve to ship to store and pay later. Spot 209. Doing this to see which progresses.

I am sitting on number 5. Got a text from them yesterday- "Thank you for reserving your next device with us".

I feel like I am in a waiting room at a doctors office, but my number hasn't come yet.

Went into my local store today, he said over the past few days hes gotten some 128gb pixels, but not 128gb xls.

Just spoke to an authorized dealer on the phone - he said he had stock of the 128GB XL Black in stock. So I hurriedly ran to the store (I was skeptical) but hopeful. 

After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, he came out with a box. He proceeds to tell me he has the 128GB Pixel black in stock. Not the XL I had originally asked for.

With a dissapointed look, I said 'thanks' and walked away...

So I live and work in Montreal, waiting on a pixel xl black 128gb... and the building i work in is rogers reginal office.. and im pretty sure i saw many many pixels being delivered (that are then destributed to the stores in this area).. i could be just teasing people here, but thats what i saw. Impatiently waiting here 😞

Communication isn't a single text message. Communication would be an email or a phone call saying why they can't fuffil the order and an an actual estimate as to when they can.

Agreed but they won't give a call to more then 1,000 Plus customers. They didn't even do that for the Note 7 recalls and no carrier actually calls the customers of they are late with pre orders even the US Carriers don't do that.

A email yes i would agree to send a massive email but again many would complain that they got a email that they didn't sign up for ( as 90% of Rogers customers won't be getting the Pixel device) so yeah i see why.

I did my preorder at Best Buy.

No one has called to update, not sure why Best Buy even has store numbers, almost impossible to call in and get someone to pick up the phone.

I used to be a manager for them, trick to getting through is by dialing 2020 to get the Manager on Duty to pick up.

Also, as a Mobile Manager, they can ask their ASM to check with the buyer how many Pixel XLs are on order and when they are arriving.

Sadly, the current roster of Best Buy Mobile Managers are pathetic.

Walmart Wireless poached some of their best talent and those being groomed by Best Buy also got poached.

Why would they send an email to each customer on the Rogers network? That makes no sense. They would only need to send one to the people affected.
