iPad data only addition to existing plan Online self service to avoid activation fee

Hello,

Could someone please confirm that I may add an iPad to my existing share everything plan as a data only device? I called Rogers three times and visited the store once. One Rogers person confirmed that I can add a device on a monthly basis for $10 to share data only and I want to activate the iPad online to avoid the $60 activation fee. We own the device (BYOD) and will likely only use the device on cellular for a short period of time and the activation fee is too high in our case. I tried the BYOD option from my account but the only option was a Samsung Watch and not an iPad. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks,
