Question about Ordering a New Cell

I'm thinking of ordering a new cell off rogers.com so I can save the 50.00 setup fee, but I was wondering how soon I have before the new phone has to be online?

I just want to make sure I know the proper way to transfer my old phone to the new one before doing it,

I appreciate you considering the self-serve option to upgrade your device and save the setup fee. There is no time limit to activate your new device; you can take your time to transfer all the data to your satisfaction.

Personally, I run the backup on my old device, insert the SIM on the new device, turn it On, and follow the on-screen prompts to sign in to the accounts (Google, etc.). So in this way, the cellular profile is created, and the data is restored simultaneously.

However, you can manually transfer your data and then insert the SIM. I recommend powering off the device before you insert the SIM.
