Number change

Just switched over from Bell, and specifically asked *not* to port my number. It was done on a Saturday anyway, and by the time the business department was open on Monday, my number was lost. Now they want to charge me for a "new" number and the customer service has been Shaw Cable terrible thus far. I also have to contact everyone (work, etc.) and get numbers changed. Again.

Anything I can do?

If we initiated a port by mistake, we should be able to provide you with a phone number change free of charge.

Rogers was unable to retrieve my preferred number, and offered up ridiculous number combinations as an alternative.  However, the customer service was polite and courteous.
