Never using chat service again

I've been here awhile
I've had a issue with my recent bill and everytime I'd try talking to a agent through the chat service I'd get nowhere. It's like they a reading though a manual and any questions outside it they don't know how to responds so they just repeat the exact same thing. I was transfered 3 times to people who didn't know what they were doing. And now this week I try it again and have the exact same issue. Once my contract is up I leaving Rogers and not looking back.

Calling isn't any better. I called in today and got a woman from Toronto. I said, I would like to cancel my internet and cellphone services. She tried to talk me out of it and asked why. I told her I would be moving in a few months to an area that doesn't have Rogers for internet so I was going to switch to Bell now and then have my service move with me. She asked about why I wanted to cancel the cellphone as well. I told her I have been getting calls for the previos owner of the number from every collection amd repo agency, including Rogers, because the oerson didn't ever seem to pay anything, including their car loan. I was going to use the time until the end of the billing cycle to make sure all of my bank 2FA's and things were setup on a new number, when I get one.

My current bill has me paid up to July 26th 2025 so I was content to cancel by that date. Well... she cancelled my cellphone while on the phone with her, which disconnected the call, but did not cancel my internet. Now when I call in from another number, it doesn't recognize I still have an account with internet. I have no info on where to send the modem back to and how.to actually go about cancelling my internet.

I hope this feedback makes it to the right person because after today. I don't think I will ever consider choosing Rogers for any services ever again!

I agree calling is no better. I called Monday, cause my bill still showed my save and return amount on it and I was on hold for nearly 2 hours. They eventually just hung up on me. I ended up paying for both phone I already a month prior. I am beyond upset with Rogers at this point. They have horrible customer service.
