Getting billed for cancelled account

Hello,
I just go to purchase new iphone15 pro with Roger’s. I followed the whole procedure for purchasing the new mobile phone after that the agent told me you need to port the existing number. First he told me that you do not need to port the existing numbers. Then I told I do not want to do that. At the end I told him cancel the contract. He told contract was cancelled.

After 4 days I am getting billed of $2000 and the account is cancelled it shows.

It sounds like there may have been some confusion during your recent activation that you did with us. Firstly, when activating a new wireless line, you have the option to take a brand new number, or you can accept a tentative number and then request to port an existing number over from another service provider, if that line/number is still active. The choice is yours.

 

Just to clarify, did the iPhone 15 Pro device actually get shipped out to you? Or was the agent able to cancel the order before it was shipped? As long as you are a new wireless customer activating for the first time, if you decide to cancel the services within 30 days of the activation date and return the device in it's original condition and packaging (if applicable), then the monthly service charges should be reversed from the date of the cancellation to the end of the billing period. There should also be no charges for the equipment.
