Calling Rogers - Switching Mobile Plans

Seininya
I plan to stick around

I tried calling Rogers yesterday but was notified that the call centre is closed, I tried calling again today and it said there are too many callers and hung up on me.

I wanted to see if there are any offers to change my parents' and mine line to a data plan from a talk and text only plan. I managed to chat with an agent but the best they could offer is over $100/month which is way too expensive. The agent referred me to the direct line, which I called again this morning and again got the notification that there are too many callers and hung up on me.

Greetings @Seininya ,

Thanks for visiting us on the community forums! 🙂

We appreciate your patience when trying to connect with support to get help for your inquiry. I'm glad to hear you were finally able to get through via our live chat service. I'm sorry to hear you weren't too thrilled with the plan options that were extended your way.

By any chance, have you tried logging into your MyRogers account online via Rogers.com? Once there, it will list all of the plans that are currently available to you at this time. If you see something of interest, you can simply complete the price plan change on your own, quickly and easily, via self-serve.

I hope this helps!

Hi Yasmine,

I did - and the offer on MyRogers was to add another line to my current account with existing plan which doesn’t help as I was looking to add data and my plan doesn’t have data currently.

Re: Calling Rogers - Switching Mobile Plans

Thank you for your response! Hopefully you were able to get your plan changed, if not, please see the overview page when you log into your MyRogers account online at rogers.com simply find the phone line you wish to change and click on the "manage" button to bring up the option to "Change plan" that will follow.

Hi Russel, I did click into MyRogers change plan and it brought me to the offer of $115 which is not what I want as it is 4 times as expensive as my current plan and way too much data. I tried calling Rogers again this morning at 9am, but first I waited, then the call dropped, I called back and the same thing, “we are getting higher than normal call volume, please call again later” - then the call again dropped.

Re: Calling Rogers - Switching Mobile Plans

Thank you for those details and sorry to hear you still haven't been able to speak to someone. Please send us a private message and we'll take a look here and see if there's anything else we may offer!
