Understood.... and I guess there's no point buying an LTE data plan until AFTER it's announced, right?![]()

My Lumia 900, which has been showing 3G in Victoria since I got it at launch, now shows LTE. Impromptu speed test shows 21.5 megabits down. <Rubs eyes in disbelief> Beauty.

Mine's still flipping between 3G and 4G. Where are you located?
Did you buy an LTE data plan? Or do you have the 6G extended data?

I live in Langford, but was in Victoria on Aug. 30, 2012 and my phone switched to LTE. But as I made my way back to Langford, it went back to 4G. Not sure if they were testing or if it was officially launched in Victoria on Aug. 30. Anyone know? And anyone know also if it will be extended to Langford as well?

Just this morning, I noticed LTE show up on my phone while I was at home (Strawberry Vale area, just behind the hospital).
But no sign of it downtown, at my office.
Maybe testing again???

Looks like they were just testing. It disappeared by the same night.
But interesting that my phone would show it as available -- since I don't believe I have an LTE plan...

Well "supoosedly" all data plans will get uograded to LTE plan by end of September: http://www.iphoneincanada.ca/carriers/rogers-carri
Not sure how reliable that info is though. Just picked up an LTE micro-sim for my Lumia 900 since I was still using the micro-sim from my iPhone 4.
